Yesterday we met some friends at Les Antilles de Jonzac. There are two sections, a play section and a relaxing section. We stayed in the play section which had a big pool with a diving area, waves and a slide as well as a jacuzzi. Morgana and Lucas loved it. There is a snack bar near this area too which has a seating area and a small rainforest you can walk through and see some birds and fish. In Summer they also open up the outside so Lucas is looking forward to returning for that. If you want a proper meal rather than a snack, there is a restaurant but you need to get out of the pool and get dressed for that. In the snack bar, you don’t need to get changed so it’s easier with kids to have a snack and then get back in the pool ☺️

🧚♀️ Tooth Fairy 🧚♀️🦷 It’s finally happened- Delilah has lost her first tooth at 7 1/2. I am pretty sure it’s quite late for loosing a first tooth! What age did your kids loose their first tooth? Delilah lost it at school and managed to keep the tooth to take home. The tooth fairy collected her tooth and left her some fairy gifts & money under her pillow. She was very excited the next morning when she realised the tooth fairy had been 🧚♀️✨🦷. Nanny hand knitted this cute little tooth fairy dolly for Delilah so we took it with us to the bluebells woods 💜🌿. Sorry for the radio silence. JOY ☀️ This is a story about a day last week when we made a little visit to a windy seaside town, stumbled across a craft fair and bought this green knitted jumper from a little old lady there called Joy. ☀️ "You made this all by yourself, you are very lovely" Penny told her. The smile that beamed from that lady will be forever making me feel incredible. Penny put it on immediately and danced down the street about the clever lady called Joy she had just made friends with. Then we had pizza and ice cream and made up stories about a dancing walrus. The end. ☀️ It's these moments that really make me feel like the luckiest person in the world.

The Sunday Squad:: This week we met in the back garden, second load of washing on the line and lawnmowers ready to go. . 🌿 Keith had been out for the morning at the local garden centre but didn't get anything other than compost. 🌿 We've had a busy week of finally starting the lawn for the veg patch and planting some dahlias and anemones in the flower raised bed. 🌿 Penny and I have also been busy in the greenhouse starting this year's vegetable garden and what seemed like 30000 sweet peas. 🌿 Besides that we've crammed in a whole spring of gardening into a couple of days because the rest of this Easter break has been stormy and rainy and really quite cold. 🌿 But that aside, blossom is on all of our trees, the cherry tree, apple, blueberries, plum and peach are all bursting into life and there are signs that spring is finally doing its thing. 🌿 Keith is very happy with me for finally planting my potatoes and less happy with me for not levelling out the lawn of my veg patch properly before putting the grass seed down. 🌿 We played guess the roast and I guessed lamb but the answer was beef. . #thesundaysquad

Whilst Lucas was at a birthday party this afternoon, Morgana and I went to the beach. I underestimated how hot it was and didn’t pack our swimming gear but we had lots of fun building sand castles and eating ice cream. 🌊It’s was absolutely blowing a gale, the waves were crashing…I actually enjoy beach days like that because the noise of the wind and waves is so overpowering it’s almost impossible to think. 🌊We walked up the beach across the sand dunes to the other side, the harbour side. And it was like being on a Caribbean island. 🏝️ The quite and stillness after our senses were battered just moments before. We looked at each other and knew we had to go in. 🌊Our wellington boots and socks came flying off without hesitation and we splashed about until our toes were numb 💙

💦 Today the kids went on this giant slide at @windsorleisurecentre for the first time time and they loved it. I had to post this to remember! I can’t believe I have kids who are so much more braver than me 🥹 Seeing them in the pool today, it amazing to see how confident they are in the water. They go in the ‘confident swimmers’ bit! Just to think this time last year, Lily was still using arm floaties in this pool. Happy days, all that money spent on swimming lessons at @everyoneactive_thecentreslough is worth it! Tyler is in Stage 5 and Lily Stage 3 (close to 4). Also very happy to get spare copies of the Primary Times here at Windsor Leisure Centre, there are loads! Now we can give copies to family, as Tyler and Lily are on the front cover 🥰 Thank you to one of our playgroup mummies who told me. Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday. 💛 Sooty’s 75th birthday Live Show at @becktheatre 💛 Sooty was one of my favourite shows when I was a kid, I have such happy memories. I was so happy when I heard @sootyshowofficial was coming to The Beck Theatre! 🧸 Sharing a childhood favourite with my kids was really lovely. The show was cute, and got the audience involved, almost like a panto. The kids were laughing all the way through. For my locals, you can catch Sooty at Wycombe Swan on April 11th.
