📍 Views from Killiney Hill Park - Dalkey, Co. Dublin, Ireland. These views are breathtakingly beautiful high above Killiney Hill and Dalkey Hill. The Park was dedicated to public use in 1887 by Prince Albert Victor of Wales, in memory of Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, and called Victoria Hill. Crowned by an obelisk, the hill is 153 metres high. There is a pyramid atop the hill that is known by locals as the wishing stone. Our first hike of the year. 💕 Killiney Hill is a popular destination for hikers and walkers. It's not a very challenging hike. It took us almost 20-30mins to get to the top. You can finish your hike at the cafe located near the car park. The pyramid on Killiney Hill is also known as the "Wishing Stone". Registros de um sábado em Dalkey Fui fazer um trabalho de cleaner nesse bairro e após o trabalho fui dar uma volta, vi um morro e bem no pico uma ruína, logo pensei (Preciso trazer meu marido para fazer essa trilha comigo). Na outra semana levei ele comigo para o trabalho e após o expediente fomos nos aventurar. Favourite day in Dublin 🇮🇪 🍀 Caught the DART to killiney and used Alltrails to hike up to Killiney Hill Park and down Dalkey Hill. Had a quick pint, then on to Sandycove beach where there were about 15 seals chilling on the rocks. In 1862 #GeorgeJohnLee and the Shaws agreed to share a house, No. 1 Hatch Street, in an affluent part of #Dublin, and a country cottage on #DalkeyHill, overlooking #KillineyBay #GeorgeBernardShaw, a sensitive boy, found the less salubrious parts of Dublin shocking and distressing, and was happier at the cottage. Lee's students often gave him books, which the young Shaw read avidly; thus, as well as gaining a thorough musical knowledge of choral and operatic works, he became familiar with a wide spectrum of literature. Between 1865 and 1871, Shaw attended four schools, all of which he hated. His experiences as a schoolboy left him disillusioned with formal education: "Schools and schoolmasters", he later wrote, were "prisons and turnkeys in which children are kept to prevent them disturbing and chaperoning their parents." In October 1871 he left school to become a junior clerk in a Dublin firm of land agents, where he worked hard, and quickly rose to become head cashier. During this period, Shaw was known as "George Shaw"; after 1876, he dropped the "George" and styled himself "Bernard Shaw". In June 1873, Lee left Dublin for London and never returned. A fortnight later, Bessie followed him; the two girls joined her. Shaw's explanation of why his mother followed Lee was that without the latter's financial contribution the joint household had to be broken up. Nie da się? Jak to się nie da. Gdy Alex się urodził i dowiedzieliśmy się, że ma zespół Downa zaczęliśmy czytać. Wujek Google był naszym przyjacielem. I z każdą minutą nasz i tak już beznadziejny humor stawał się jeszcze gorszy. Bo żadna informacja nie była pozytywna. Spis chorób, niepełnosprawności czy też problemów jakie na nas czekają był bardzo długi. I naprawdę współczuję każdym rodzicom, którzy się dowiadują, że ich dziecko będzie miało ZD i zaczynają czytać. Bo można wpaść w totalny dół. I nie mówię, że jest cały czas pięknie. Ale jak nam to lekarz na intensywnej terapii powiedział, z ZD nigdy nie wiadomo. I taka jest prawda. Jedne dzieci mówią, inne nie. Jedne dzieci jeżdżą na rowerze, inne nie. Jedne liczą, inne z trudnością uczą się cyferek. Itd. Ale najważniejsze jest żeby były szczęśliwe. Alex Einsteinem nie będzie. Przez 4 lata uczył się cyferek od 1 do 10. Ale w końcu załapał. 6 lata zajęło mu nauczenie się jazdy na rowerze. Rozumie wszystko w dwóch językach ale z gadką jest kiepsko. I gdyby mi ktoś na początku powiedział, że Alex będzie się wspinał po skałkach, to bym go wyśmiała. Ale wspina się. Także rodzicu, nie załamuj się!!! Będzie dobrze!!!
