After leaving our youngest camping near Silverstone we headed here to The Bell, Charlbury, a Daylesford 17th century pub with rooms. It was a Wow from me when the lovely Charlotte showed us to our room. Our son had booked it for us, (but we paid for it) so the welcome card on the bed addressed to Allan and Guest made me laugh. This landscaped garden was created in 1790 and is now the home of Lord and Lady Bamford who have restored and enhanced it. Cultivated organically, it has a large walled garden, working glasshouses, a collection of citrus in an orangery, lakeside and woodland walks.
