A year ago today - our first full day at WDW, the start of three of the craziest weeks ever with my kiddo: three exhausting, #exhilarating, #emotional, #funfilled, #makingmemories type of weeks at @waltdisneyworld and on @disneycruiseline. Packed with #ohwow moments, #laughter, #smiles, magic, adventure, bravery, happy tears, rides, fireworks, parades, shows, #DisneyMusic and #DisneyMerch 😉 (and a day at Universal too!) It’s fair to say I’m a #BigKid at heart, especially at #Disney, and this smile shows that (it’s not just the effect of jet lag plus a mimosa at 8.30am, I promise!) It might seem crazy that it makes me this happy but the escapism of Disney - and especially being in the mega-immersive world that is the #DisneyBubble in #Orlando - lets you “forget about your worries and your strife” (name the song and the movie!). But the biggest smiles came watching kiddo’s reaction to everything - initially playing it cool comparing WDW to DLP, then realising there are so many differences. So many fun and crazy and magical things to experience. Seeing and hearing her so appreciative and grateful and so swept up in the #DisneyMagic. We had two full weeks at @waltdisneyworld and honestly - we could have used at least four more days! Which sounds crazy, but we both said it. We nearly postponed this trip from 2019 to 2020, and although going last year was a little bittersweet I’m so glad we did - it was a big bold adventure for the #TwoBlondies, but we did it. Especially when I am getting so many memories of our Disney trip this time last year, the same week the parks are opening this year. ❤️ My mom was such a trooper to join us last summer. I am so glad that I decided to add a day to our visit when she decided to come so we/she could have a rest/break day in between all of the park days. We all needed it. I think I will always do that from now on. It is a vacation after all. There should be a little time to relax and chill, especially with the go, go, go of a Disney vacation! 😉

A little throwback to last August and our first #cruise experience ever, and a joy to do it with @disneycruiseline. We sailed for a week on the #DisneyFantasy on her 7-night #WesternCaribbean itinerary visiting Cozumel, Mexico; Georgetown, GrandCayman; Falmouth, Jamaica; and CastawayCay in the Bahamas (where it was helluva windy and rainy as #HurricaneDorian was preparing to move in). I’d highly recommend a #DCL vacation, the crew is incredible, there’s so much to do (I’m told the #KidsClub is amazing - but someone wouldn’t go, even for an hour...🙄) and lots of eating & shopping options, not to mention #Broadway standard musicals. #Disney know all about customer service and it was A1, even when there were a couple of blips. And of course - there are #CharacterMeets aplenty! #DaisyDuck, #DonaldDuck, #MinnieMouse, #PrincessTiana, #Pluto, #Goofy, #Cinderella and #PeterPan as well as a host of others over the week. I was able to experience Festival of the Arts for the first time in January. I love that EPCOT offers something “extra” throughout the year. The Food and Wine Festival is my favorite. Wanted to post more from Disney World since it’s raining and it rained while I was at Disney! I have ALWAYS wanted a picture with the Epcot Ball. I had no idea what it was, only that the sheer image of the sphere screamed Disney to me. I found out while in Epcot, this wonderful ball is actually an attraction called Spaceship Earth. I was so excited to ride it omg! I know it’s not incredibly thrilling but I’d love to go back!! I wasn’t able to explore Epcot farther since my Rise of the Resistance boarding group was called!! I was mostly a frazzled and excited mess at Disney World back in December, but I did manage to get some of the photo shots from Galaxys Edge I’d seen others get!! I just bought the Photo pass so I could download all my pics and this is one of my FAVORITES.
