I made a ring for my sister in law, commissioned by my brother Simon. I’m delighted and relieved that Sarah loves it. The bezel is made from fine silver soldered onto a sterling silver shank. Morning All! Today I’m feeling a little blue. 💙 I had a temporary setback yesterday. I know it’s all good and the cancer is gone but I was expecting to restart chemo within the next week but it’s been delayed a month. I can’t help but feel upset that all my plans to move forward from June have to be shelved until July. I realise it’s only a month and I’m SOOOOO fortunate that my treatment has worked with such a wonderful outcome, but I’m still feeling blue about the delay. Spring fresh gingham style lambswool wraps! Yesterday I met with my oncologist and was formally told that they got all my cancer during surgery, it was stage 3 but to the best of their belief it hadn’t spread beyond my lymph nodes 🎉 I still have 6 weeks of chemo to go through. But what a result! For now I’m continuing to recover from surgery before they restart chemo. I can’t wait to get my life back now 🙌 x

A few larger size bowls on my shelves drying slowly. I have a new darker looking clay that will fire a buff color. There are a couple of large bowls and test tiles thrown in this clay. It's always interesting to throw a different clay but it also means retesting your glazes. There are often some happy and unhappy surprises with the fired glazes. During the fair weekends we mainly run on coffee, the buzz of the event and a few sweet treats from stallholders is the perfect way to keep our energy up!
