I often get asked ‘how will I know when actual labour is starting?’ Key signs to look out for are… - The Show/ cervical mucus plug releasing - sometimes seen but doesn’t always mean labour will start straight away - Release of membranes AKA water’s breaking - this is only before contractions for some people and not as common as shown in the movies!! - Contractions starting slowly and building up in length and a regular pattern - they may start as tightenings - As well as other signs in the lead up to labour! It's so bittersweet knowing that the end of pregnancy is coming. Although I am beyond excited to meet our daughter and see her and Paisley together, and despite all the aches and pains I complain about daily, I really will miss this. In the 27 months I have known my fiance, between our 2 daughters and our angel baby I've spent 20 of those months growing life. Don't get me wrong it'll be nice for my organs to recover from all the beatings they've had from tiny feet and elbows, but it's going to be strange after all this time. Vecka 36 och nu officiellt höggravid! 🤰✨ Hade absolut tänkt uppdatera med lite fler inlägg mellan dessa fredagsuppdateringar men förutom att ha vabbat barn hela veckan har de senaste dagarna sett ut såhär för mig: 🗓Måndag: Blodprov på vårdcentralen pga struma-medicinen som kollas upp var fjärde vecka 🗓Tisdag: Blodprov på vc för anemiutredning pga lågt hb som aldrig verkar stiga trots två tabletter Niferex om dagen 🗓Onsdag: Sjukhusdag med blodprov för anemin och tillväxtultraljud - där läkaren tyckte att bebisen bytt kurva lite för fort så jag måste göra en glukosbelastning nästa vecka för att utesluta graviditetsdiabetes (själv tror jag på att det var en annan läkare än sist och att denne mätte annorlunda) 🗓Torsdag: Vanligt besök på mvc (där både mitt blodsocker och magens kurva såg bra ut) + två besök på vc för anemiutredning + telefonsamtal från spec. mvc som meddelade att läkaren där bokat in tid för järninfusion på förlossningen nästa vecka 🗓 Fredag: Blodprov på vc + samtal med endokrinmottagningen på sjukhuset då jag fått ont i halsen & allmän infektionskänsla och då akut måste sluta med min medicin + måste lämna prover eftersom det kan betyda att kroppen slutat producera vita blodkroppar (sällsynt men allvarlig biverkning av medicinen) 🤦♀️ 😂 haha alltså jag orkar inte! Vilken cirkus 🤪 Så att det ekar tomt här i övrigt är kanske inte så konstigt för jag har helt enkelt varken tid eller ork för annat än att BO på vårdcentralen och sjukhuset just nu. Men nog om allt mitt eländiga, hur mår ni? Och ni som också är gravida just nu, vilken vecka är ni i? 💕

Handsome George 💙 This little lad didn't want to miss anything today, he sleeps really well at home but he obviously wanted to know what was going on becuase he decided to stay awake for most of his shoot 😂 He got so tired eventually, bless him. He did drift off for us to get some lovely posed photos but I just love the wide awake ones with his lovely eyes so it was a win win for us in the end! I bet he has had the best nap ever this afternoon 😂 I take all of the time your baby needs to settle them. I won't rush you or end your shoot after a certain time. 30 weeks pregnant! This past week I’ve realized I need to get stuff done sooner rather than later! Finishing up classes, packing my hospital bag just in case. I’ve had friends deliver 4 weeks early, you just never know! On my days off I’ve been sleeping later than usual, till about 8am which has felt great. And with that good sleep I’ve started having dreams about my baby! The past 3 nights in a row, granted some of them are odd (like I could see him through my skin now and at an ultrasound they told me he had red hair) but still kinda cool nonetheless! Getting out of bed and off the couch has become increasingly difficult. I swear my dog knows when I just get comfortable and starts asking for something. I’ve seen a meme recently that says you’ll never have to get up from sitting down as much as you do as a parent - and I’m feeling that pain recently. I also feel like I’ve woken myself up a few times with a little snort, like a pig. 🐷 And tomorrow I have an ultrasound!
