Yesterday 🤒 TMI? Possibly so! However I think it’s important to normalise the highs and lows of childbirth so we don’t feel alone. Firstly, these photos are of Lux on the day he was born 🥹 Back to yesterday, a perfectly normal chilled day until we were cooking dinner! I stood up and felt a clot come out, followed by lots of bright red bleeding 🩸 panic set in at what could possibly be happening; retained placenta? Haemorrhage? I called Gloucester triage and they said to come straight up and If on the way the bleeding becomes heavier to pull over and call an ambulance 🚑 We were panicking!! Wayne’s mum came to look after the kids whilst Wayne, Lux and I went straight up. We got there and were seen straight away in a private room, doctor was there waiting to see us when we got there. They immediately looked at the photo of the clot and done a cervical examination whilst swabbing for infection and felt my stomach. Everything appeared fine (apart from the size of the clot!) They said they think it is a build up of blood loss what’s caused the clot and an hour late we were on our way home! Today I have slept a lot as Lux was awake in the night, I have a headache, my vision has changed slightly and overnight/ today have no bleeding whatsoever. I have called triage to check this is ok and they think it’s fine but to call up if bleeding starts again/ becomes heavy as will need to be checked again. So glad everything seems ok but we were so worried for a minute 😦 Anyone else experienced anything like this? We made it to May! As Karoline was born at 38 weeks and Henry was born at 39 weeks, I really wasn't sure if we would have an April or May baby...but little girl is as comfy as can be and has shown no signs of evicting her home yet 😊 I'm now 38 weeks and still feeling pretty decent. Last week's energy has turned into this week's napping, which would be okay except I'm still working and raising a 4 year old and a 2 year old...so I'm extra tired. I've lost some weight, lost most of my appetite, but it's worth it when I feel baby rolling around - she's happy as can be and growing strong, which is all I can ask for. We are finally a little more prepared, have most of our necessities stocked, and we are excited to meet our little girl any day now 💕 #38weekspregnant

So it's been a whirlwind of a week and a half! Let me get you all caught up! I reached 37 weeks and if you were following my stories, you know our little babe was still breech. We booked an appointment at the hospital for the day I turned 38 weeks to potentially flip him pending there were no issues. So I spent the week stressing and working and the night before I went to the hospital, I hit up a Luke Bryan concert with my friend and just enjoyed the night. Well I don't know if it was the dancing at the concert but I'm going to credit Luke Bryan for helping to flip my babe. We went to the appointment the morning and as soon as they did the ultrasound we could easily see he was head down! So no need to flip him! So now it's a waiting game to see when he comes. Third trimester🤰🏽 workout -3 sets of 10 to 12 reps per exercise depending on energy levels. Starting you off with some seated movement bc I know how tired you are mama. For home, gym & prenatal programs - link in bio 💪🏽 1. Seated bicep curls 2. Seated hammer curls 3. Seated overhead tricep extension 4. Single arm bent over row 5. DB Romanian deadlifts 6. Lateral banded side to side 7. Standing banded abduction On occasion I miss my pregnant belly, and then I remember running to the bathroom to barf while peeing myself 😬😅. Am I going in to labour? Here are some signs that you might be: 🌸Mucous Plug- the release of a gelatinous mucous plug from the cervix. 🌸Back pain- persistent discomfort in your low back. 🌸Non-progressing or very intermittent contractions- these are not in a timetable pattern and may feel like period cramps. 🌸Nesting- a surge in energy which is a natural response to your baby approaching their arrival to this world. 🌸Bowel movements/diarrhea- your body might be clearing out your system for labour to begin, a natural response in the hormone shift when going into labour. 🌸Nausea- some people feel nauseous or the on-set of flu-like symptoms before going in to labour. Every sign brings you closer and closer to meeting your baby. Forgot to do a 37 week bumpdate…whoops! I’ll be 38 weeks tomorrow and little girl is still snuggly inside so I think it may be a little bit before she arrives but who knows?! We are officially in that “it could happen any day now” window and that’s both incredibly exciting and terrifying! 38 weeks + 1 day, we’re getting close to meeting this precious girl. She’s measuring a little behind weighing in at an estimated 5 pounds & 9 ounces with all of her measurements corresponding to the average 35 weeker which puts her in the 17th percentile, but all of my babies are small so there’s no cause for concern. Her heart rate is 116 bpm, she’s so head down they couldn’t see my cervix on ultrasound to check for dilation, she’s in the cephalic position & everything appears to be just perfect. Im due May 11th, but I personally have a feeling that she’ll be joining our family earth side May 4th. May Day is May 1st, Lindens birthday is May 3rd, Everett’s is May 11th, Cinco de Mayo is May 5th & Mothers Day is May 12 so I’m excited to see which day she chooses to be her birthday.
