🏵️Workshop Alert!🏵️ This coming SUNDAY join us in an afternoon to create a beautiful tablescape showcasing the best of Spring! Designed to equip you with ideas, tools, and inspiration to decorate any table for any occasion, we’ll cover a variety of designs which are hugely versatile. The main focus of the day will be making a footed-bowl centrepiece with colourful Spring flowers. We’ll teach you how to work with a Kenzan (pin frog 🐸), which is especially good for creating loose and airy arrangements – and also helps to make a small amount of flowers go a long way! 🌾 After creating your centrepiece, you’ll then be give the chance to sit them on our ‘dressed’ table along with other smaller floral pieces. 🐣 We’ll provide an overview making Kokedama (plant root balls bound in moss), as well as playing with living bulbs in various containers to complete the table styling. Opportunities to photograph the whole display at the end of the afternoon if you wish. ✨✨ £65 includes tuition, tools, tea and cake, as well as a ceramic footed bowl, small Kenzan, fresh flowers, and a some planted Spring bulbs in a mini ceramic – all to take home. To Gunnersbury Park A beautiful summers day for a beautiful couple. The orangery at Gunnersbury is such a gorgeous venue. Perfect for smaller weddings. • Candlesticks • So the tree is finally up in our house! Florence is obsessed as you can imagine! Unsure if the baubles will see Christmas Day however.. I still have tons of tea lights and candles lit every day even with the twinkly lights on the tree though, I find candlelight really relaxing. These @gaiavessels candlesticks arrived a week or so ago and I finally got round to filming them. Next week we are working on a tablescape as a few more beautiful bits and pieces are on their way to us! This week I met academics, educators, growers, florists and friends. Every day I talked about flowers with passionate people. Some of these people had years of experience while others were at the beginning their journey. I guess I fall into the experienced camp as I approach my 18th year in the flower industry and I’m very happy to report that my passion is STRONG! I was itching to create yesterday after my week of talk but no action! I snipped what I could from my garden, grabbed a bowl and my @niwaki.hq pin holder, holiday souvenir, and in a frenzy set to work! My creativity was sated but I wasn’t entirely happy with my design. It was only when I went to my still packed car to retrieve my camera that I noticed the orange peel clematis begging to be snipped, so I did 🤫 This final addition was ‘it’ the leading lady, the star of the show whatever you want to call her she did the job and I was happy! Using my new Niwaki kneel pad I then spent an enjoyable hour with my camera. Todays #flowerfarmerama question is ‘which plant is new to you this season?’ Choosing new plants or varieties is always really hard as there are so many to choose from and you can feel a bit like a child in a sweet shop! However we often choose by recommendation from other flower farmers, nursery growers or a little bit of trial and error especially if growing from seed as it’s less costly! What a weekend!💥 Gaia vessels taking centre stage for last weekends autumnal extravaganza wedding 🍁 Huge congrats to B&C a dream couple to create flower magic for! And wow did we bring it! Epic team with @toasthq @ohhsorosiecalligraphy bringing all the velvet vibes and props! And @chantal_howell couldn’t have done it without you! We brought all the flowery magic to @lainston_house and probably couldn’t have squeezed any more in! It was my biggest wedding of the year, with archs, hanging installs, bar installs, mantelpieces, top table of dreams so much more🧡 It took all my headspace to pull this one off, hundreds of flowers and lots of prep! Thank you to everyone who helped support me during this wedding!
