Oooohhhhhh you guys. You guys you guys you guys! Back to reality even though my mind still has me back in the most magical country that there is 😝 Iceland was insane, as always. From getting food poisoning on an airplane (what a nightmare) to sleeping in the car to see whales in the west fjords to sitting only a few feet away from the cutest little puffins and chasing waterfalls and glaciers and just taking in the most insane views ever. The real cherry on top though, witnessing the Geldingadalir eruption was life changing. I’ll share more about that entire experience in a separate post because it deserves its own post 🤣 easily a top 5 life experience for me. Just so many good memories from now my 5th time visiting the land of fire and ice. It just doesn’t get old. And with the pandemic, Iceland was nearly empty and we were spoiled with most places to ourselves. We did have to change a few things around at the end of our stay so we could get covid tests to enter back into the states, but we conquered most of the main hitters in Iceland. The west fjords, Snæfellsnes peninsula, the golden circle, the waterfalls of the south, multiple glaciers, Stokksnes. I mean, jam packed. Still proud of our little tuk-tuk of a car for holding one out for us. We trashed the hell out of her with the bumps and gravel roads 🤣 so much to go through from this trip but first, time to get things back in order. I didn’t touch my inbox or my computer for an entire week so it’s catch up time now friends. Thanks for being so patient with me 🤗

One plus side to having all of this unexpected free time on my hands is that I’m finally tackling some personal photos I’ve been putting off for a very, very long time. I JUST finished editing all of my photos from my trip to Europe... from July of 2019 🙈 Better late than never, right? Next up on the chopping block is over 7,000 images from my road trip around the states and then Hawaii 😅 I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to actually knock these out so that’s one thing I’m grateful for during all of this - time. The time to actually conquer some personal goodness. Not to mention, getting to relive all of these moments again. Like this image, taken around 11:45 at night along the south of Iceland in July after driving for 4+hours trying to make it to the sickest, random glacier spot I stumbled upon. You can swipe to see the views I had the next morning. Not a bad spot to stumble upon if you ask me. Iceland will always be my favorite. Always.

Today was amazing! We saw everything! On our way to Seward, we saw three moose...then on our excursion we saw otters, seals, eagles, stellar sea lions, humpback whales, Dahl porpoises, puffins, and THE most amazing pod of Orcas ever! I will have to go through those pictures before posting, so here is a picture from my phone! It is a picture of Aialik Glacier which is one of two glaciers we saw in Kenai Fjords National Park.
