I really love the amazing rock structures on Lynmouth beach, and was able to get up inside some of them, it helps to be small. The unusual curved shaped rock in pic. 1 looks like it could have been part of a dinosaur spine (wishful thinking I guess.) 2.- 5. Some of mini passage/cave like structures. 6. Some old groynes. 7. Tumbled rocks. 8. I was lucky to see a pair of rock pipits searching for morsels to eat, but impossible to see them in this photo. 9. Everyone is welcome to join us in creating an artwork that explores our community's relationship with Portobello beach. The groynes are shifting and changing with the sands of time and our pillars of protection are vulnerable to environmental changes. Sea view classroom! Yes, that’s what makes my 9th standard classroom so special! I went to my alma mater yesterday and apparently my sea view classroom has been converted to a library now. I joined this school in 1998 and imagine my thrill when I was guided to this classroom on my first day! The shoreline (not a proper beach then) opposite to our school was a safe haven for antisocial activities. Sitting in the groynes that ran into the sea, it was there I had my first beer with my rowdy friends Raja, Balaji, and another of my namesake. One beer shared by four and it was I who brought the steel tumbler secretly from my house.
