At work today wearing a test piece of Stitchmaiden Kalina blouse. A more historical version is coming up in near future, but for this test version I thought that a patterned viscose fabric would make the blouse look less like I'm waiting for the Titanic departure :D Some adjusting is still needed, I think the waistband is too high (I admit I do have a long back). I'm not sure I love it, it's probably going to be reserved for times I need to look normal-ish or a bit more smart (such an occasion is what prompted the make). Though maybe I can accessorise it to make it for with my usual style. I love wearing #memade clothes! My latest addition is a self drafted maxi skirt, made from the Blair cotton poplin from that I bought a few months ago from @drapersfabrics as a remnant piece. The fabric itself is not 100% opaque, so I added a neutral-coloured poplin as a lining. Finished off with French seams and belt loops, I can see this skirt being worn over and over again for work, for travels and for weekend outings. Best of all, there was hardly any wastage from this project ✂️! #homesewing #selfdrafted
