I'm always looking to remix materials that are already in my stash (ahem, my webshop inventory), and so for this month's fabric drop, I used the Retro Florals allover stretch lace fabric in Apple Green with some of the new elastics, lining fabrics, and notions from the Spring Folly Collection to sew this gooooorgeous and comfortable set 😍 This set has sold surprisingly quickly! At the moment, I can only make one more, so be quick if you've got your eye on it 👀 (although I still have this fabric in black or white too!) I used the Watson pattern from Cloth Habit for the top and an upcoming Small Bobbins pattern for the bottoms. Working on some big projects this Me Made May! 🤰 Ben and I are thrilled to be welcoming our little one into the world in early November. I’m also thrilled to be finally onto second trimester today; first tri is no joke. All worth it to fulfill this dream of ours, but I’m pretty excited to be able to eat an actual meal again. I won’t make any grand promises this Me Made May, but I think it will be a fun opportunity to connect with my fellow makers and explore how my clothes are working for my changing body. We’re still in nomadic mode, so the bulk of my closet is sadly in storage, but if all goes to plan, we’ll be settling down very soon in the Santa Cruz mountains. 🏡 Glad I picked up this shirred dress today while I still can, because it’s already feeling a big snug all over! Body is a shirred rectangle, sleeves modified from @stitchwitchpatterns Tudor blouse. Cotton lawn from @stonemountainfabric. P.S. Ben is okay, he’s recovering from elbow surgery to heal chronic nerve pain. Cast comes off on Friday, yay!

One of my favorite parts is the fun striping at the bottom of the side panel. It was a happy accident as I hadn’t measured correctly and the lighter blue panels were too short. 😂 (This was before the Dress Pattern came out.) I would say it’s perfectly safe for beginners, the seams run straight and no hiccups. I picked a rather stiff cotton fabric but with a couple of washes I’m sure it’ll soften. There’s no harm in repeating a good thing… I made the Lemont Top from @itchtostitch before, but in an eyelet fabric. This satin viscose from @fiberstofabric , on the other hand, falls very smoothly and has a very different effect right away. The Lemont Top has an attached sleeve that is gathered at the front and back and looks so nice on high-waisted pants or skirts. Ik maakte de Lemont Top van @itchtostitch al eens eerder, maar dan in een eyelet stofje. Deze satijn viscose van @fiberstofabric valt daarentegen heel soepel en heeft dadelijk een heel ander effect. Oh my golly hi. It’s been a minute. I made this blouse over a month ago and I’m just getting around to documenting it. I don’t know if you all feel the same way, but taking pictures of my makes is one of the hardest things for me. So about this pattern. It is FIVE STARS. I love everything about this blouse. It had amazing instructions and it turned out exactly how I wanted. Would highly recommend. I feel like stand collars like this one are always tricky. But I love the way this one came together. This blouse got me out of my sewing rut and I have a lot of other projects to share!
