Finally finished “How to Be The Love You Seek” by Dr. Nicole LePera after loving her first book “How To Do The Work.” I definitely enjoyed this book as it went more in depth on some of the previous topics and gave me new tools to use healing the relationship I have with myself so I can better show up in my other relationships. All in all a solid read but if you’re choosing between the two the first one will forever be my favourite. Excited to start my next non-fiction book. Winter Gold The two lemon trees which have spent the summer on the patio are now safely ensconced in the greenhouse for the winter; three last gifts for this year. But what to make with them? It seems too low key to just drop them into a gin & tonic or make lemon drizzle cakes. Maybe an indulgent and time consuming Lemon Meringue Pie? Any suggestions? (Extraordinarily, my two lemon trees were bought as £20 house plants from @ikeauk by my husband on a whim. The first major snow this winter killed all the dahlias, which makes for a sad day for me. Yesterday we hauled 3 tons of dirt and put it in our new citrus greenhouse. I was so happy I made a "dirt angel" to celebrate! We already have oranges and lemons and lemons starting. Next year the greenhouse will be full! We are heating it with waste heat from the sauna and hot tub plus incandescent twinkle lights and remay for when it gets very cold (-10c here). Beautiful Liatris is ready! A bountiful perennial AND cut flower! One of the easiest perennials to divide and propagate. They grow from corms and are best divided in the spring when they start to emerge. The corms can then be cut into 2 or 3 pieces. As a cut flower, best to harvest when the tips start to open. I personally like these in bunches on their own in a vase. Colors available in the deep pink and white.
