They are inevitably drawn to each other. Their #slowburnromance spans over years filled with longing, heartache, and the kind of complications that shatter lives. *Mild Spoiler Alert and Trigger Warning* There are some pretty heavy themes that were jarring and graphic. Listening to the #audiobook helped me get through them because I feel like I might have stopped if I was reading the words on the page. That being said, Kennedy Ryan’s writing was hauntingly beautiful and the perspective on the triggering theme was insightful and harrowing. The emotion and pathos in several graphic scenes was absolutely heart wrenching. The narration made Iris’s voice so realistic. Overall, beautifully written but quite triggering. Oggi per la rubrica "Ti consiglio un drama" vi propongo l'ultimo che ho visto, "The Devil Judge-악마판사" k-drama di 16 episodi che potete trovare su Netflix e su RamaOriental. "La vendetta è un piatto che va servito freddo". Quanto può essere sottile il confine tra giusto e sbagliato, bene e male, giustizia e corruzione?! Quanto può essere bieco e vile l'essere umano pur di raggiungere i suoi scopi?! E cosa si è veramente disposti a fare?! A volte, puntare il dito contro qualcuno è semplicemente più facile che farsi delle domande,capire e comprendere. Ci sono drama che trovi per caso e che ti lasciano semplicemente sorpres* perché non pensavi potessero piacerti tanto. Se cercate un drama leggero, spensierato e delicato, The Devil Judge sicuramente non fa per voi, in quanto è una serie che parla di vendetta e macchinazioni di qualsiasi tipo, ma sicuramente è capace di tenervi incollati allo schermo con il fiato sospeso fino all'ultimo minuto. Durante la visione vi troverete a porvi domande, e a chiedervi e dubitare più di una volta. Vi troverete a empatizzare con determinati personaggi e a detestarne profondamente altri, ma una cosa è certa: guarderete con profondo interesse Kang Yo-Han. Kang Yo-Han è IL personaggio, ha tutto: carisma, fascino, astuzia, intelligenza, sangue freddo, con un passato tormentato e un forte senso di giustizia, talvolta decisamente poco ortodosso e fuori dai canoni, ma nel complesso generale l'ho trovato profondamente geniale. È un personaggio talvolta non semplice da comprendere, ma a me, ha sempre fatto una profonda tenerezza; dietro la facciata da "diavolo" si nasconde molto molto di più. È un uomo che si porta dietro gli strascichi del suo passato e convive con i suoi demoni. Ma è anche un uomo che protegge, anche se talvolta non proprio come ci si aspetterebbe. È una figura che dall'inizio alla fine, ha avuto un'evoluzione che a me è piaciuta molto, e questo grazie anche alla figura di Kim Ga-On. Grazie al suo personaggio vedremo anche quanto può essere dubbioso l'animo dell'essere umano, e come alla fine non tutto è come sembra in superficie, ma bisogna scavare più a fondo. CONTINUA ⬇️⬇️

Ho adorato tutto di questa serie, gli attori, i costumi e l'ambientazione storica...io, poi, ho un debole per le storie che parlano di re, tradimenti, complotti politici, lotta al potere e questa serie ha praticamente tutto, anche una storia d'amore 😁 🤍 Dopo un lungo esilio, il gran principe Jinhan torna nella sua terra natia. Felice di riabbracciare la sua famiglia, trova ad attenderlo un ambiente freddo ed ostile. Freddo ed ostile è soprattutto il re, suo fratello maggiore che tratta il principe come se fosse un suo nemico. Nel mentre, il Gran principe stringe una singolare amicizia con Kang Mon Woo un giocatore di baduk. Tra i due nasce subito un'intesa forte ma il principe non sa che in realtà il giocatore è una donna, lady Hee Soo, figlia di un ministro. Le cose a palazzo non vanno per il meglio, soprattutto dopo la morte del re. Il gran principe gli succede al trono con l'accusa di aver rubato il titolo al nipote. Tra le varie vicende, il giocatore di baduk viene accusato di tradimento e Jinhan pur sapendo della sua innocenza non fa nulla per aiutare il suo amico. Kang Mon Woo, riesce a scappare, ma viene ferito gravemente e le guardie annunciano al re che il prigioniero è morto durante la fuga. Kang Mon Woo/Hee soo riesce a salvarsi e giura a se stessa che si vendicherà di tutto il male ricevuto. Riuscirà a portare a termine la sua vendetta? 🤍 Vi ho riassunto in breve la trama. La storia è ben fatta e mi è piaciuta molto, unica cosa il finale...bellissimo ma ci sono alcuni punti che secondo me andavano approfonditi. Faranno forse una seconda stagione? Riccardo III • Autore: William Shakespeare • Anno: 1591-1592 • Storia: È possibile che Shakespeare si sia ispirato alle cronache di Raphael Holinshed, o ancor di più ai lavori do Tommaso Moro sulla storia di Riccardo III. L'autore da al personaggio una connotazione totalmente negativa, quando in realtà il regno di Riccardo III non fu più crudele di altri predecessori o successori. Questo perché le opere storiche di Shakespeare non sono mai veramente accurate in quanto sono opere d'intrattenimento. In questo testo Shakespeare mostra la bramosia umana di potere e ciò che ne consegue. Un altro motivo che può spiegare questa cattiveria da parte di Riccardo III sta nel contesto storico in cui l'autore vive. A quei tempi, infatti, era al trono Elisabetta I, nipote di Enrico VII, colui che sconfisse Riccardo III in battaglia. Shakespeare vuole quindi esaltare il vincitore. L'opera inoltre è l'ultimo capitolo della tetralogia formata dalle opere Enrico VI parte uno, due e tre, in cui il personaggio di Riccardo inizia a delinearsi come vile.
