Egy idő után kicsit idegesítő volt a folytonos gyűlöllek, de tetszel dolog és az is, hogy instant vonzalom alakult ki mindhárom férfi és Madison Kate között, miközben semmit nem tudtak egymásról. Kezdetben mindhárom pasi már-már idegesítően tökéletes volt, de szerencsére idővel olyan részletek is kiderültek, amiknek köszönhetően valóságosabbá és szerethetőbbé váltak a szememben. Innentől Madison Kate érzéseit is jobban meg tudtam érteni. Nekem Steele és Kody voltak a kedvenceim, Archert nem tudtam megszeretni, ezt a következő részre hagyom.😅 Mindhárom pasi titokzatos, gyönyörű és szinte biztos vagyok benne, hogy valamilyen módon sérült. A ketrecharcok, a vér, és a bandák izgalmas, árulásokkal teli világába kerülünk, ami mindig tartogat valami újat számunkra. Gyorsan haladtam a könyvvel, kellemes kikapcsolódást jelentett, a vége kifejezetten tetszett, egy sorozat első részének szerintem nem volt rossz, ahhoz pont elég, hogy folytassam. Magickú posadnutosť, alebo teda Practical Magic určite poznáte z 90s filmu s Nicole Kidman a Sandrou Bullock. Knižná predloha tohto filmu je síce menej "rozprávková" a dejovo sa dosť líšia, myslím si však, že práve preto sa ju oplatí prečítať - dostanete totiž iný príbeh, než očakávate. . Príbeh sestier Owensových je nielen o rodinných vzťahoch a osudových láskach, ale aj o dospievaní, hľadaní samého seba a vyrovnaní sa s vnútornými démonmi. Mágia je všadeprítomná, a pritom minimalistická, je skôr podstatou bytia než kôpkou zaklínadiel, a v tom je práve jej čaro. Krásne napísané, podmanivé autorkino rozprávanie má síce pokojnejšie tempo, ale tomuto typu príbehov presne svedčí. . Ak sa Vám páčili romány ako sú Posledná žena z rodu Moonovcov, Víno a čary, či Čarovná záhrada (ktorá je touto knihou úplne jasne inšpirovaná), tak skúskte aj Magickú posadnutosť. Odesza ist heute erschienen und ich liebe diesen Part so sehr 🖤 Klare Leseempfehlung 🖤 Meine Meinung: Endlich hat das Warten ein Ende, die Dark Castle Reihe geht weiter. Ich habe den siebten Part direkt inhaliert. Ich konnte nicht warten, ich musste einfach wissen wie es weiter geht. Ich bin noch immer vollkommen geflasht! Was für eine atemberaubende Fortsetzung! Allein schon der Einstieg ins Buch war unglaublich spannend! Und so ging es weiter. Es war spannend, nervenaufreibend, brutal und auch sehr Spicy. Der Schreibstil von D.C. Odesza ist wie immer so unfassbar gut. Es gelang ihr auch hier wieder mich spielend leicht in den Bann der Geschichte zu ziehen. Sie schreibt fesselnd, einnehmend und sehr bildhaft. Alle Charaktere wurden authentisch und voller Leben dargestellt. Ich habe sie allesamt in mein Herz geschlossen. Die Ereignisse überschlugen sich und ich saß teilweise atemlos und sprachlos vor dem Buch. Dieser Part hat mich emotional gesehen gekillt. Meine Emotionen fuhren Achterbahn es war ein ständiges auf und ab der Gefühle. Bei einer Szene brach mein Herz. Das Ganze nahm mich sehr mit. Mehr kann ich euch leider nicht verraten. D.C. Odesza hat es wieder geschafft. Sie übertrifft sich jedesmal auf's neue. Ich für meinen Teil bin restlos begeistert. Schon jetzt freue ich mich riesig auf Part acht! Klare Leseempfehlung! Another fabulous #aussieapril2024 read by @clairebutlerauthor 💚💛 This is Claire’s debut novel and Book 1 in the Red Wood Series which centers around Brielle, Princess of the Southern Kingdom and Henri, Prince of the Northern Kingdom. Both of their Kingdoms have fallen and Brielle and Henri are forced to flee and hide from those who hunt them in the Red Wood. Henri wants no part of reclaiming his lands while Brielle is determined to take back what is hers! But knowing who to trust is complex and betrayal and death lurks around every corner! This was an action packed read full of twists and turns and ends in an ‘are you kidding me’ cliffhanger! Not going to lie though, I found Brielle a difficult main character to like to start with. She was spoilt, entitled, conniving, self-centered and downright mean, which also made her very naive. Henri on the other hand uses booze and women to escape the pressure placed on him by his father. He has no desire to rule and would prefer to disappear and live a normal life. The character development for them both was really well written and thankfully has you rooting for Brielle in the end. There is also a romance subplot full of angst and even a one bed situation. Είναι βιωματικό βιβλίο; Θα μπορούσε ναι και αν δεν ισχύει μια τέτοια υπόθεση, τότε ο πυρήνας φαίνεται πεντακάθαρα στο τέλος του. Προσωπικές αλήθειες, κοινωνικά αποδεκτές πεποιθήσεις, έντονες, ζωντανές εικόνες μετουσιώνονται και λάμπουν από απλές λέξεις. Οι ρίζες του αφηγητή, η οικογένεια, τα ζώα είναι η γλυκιά γεύση που μένει μετά την ανάγνωση. Υπάρχουν ιστορίες άκρως ρεαλιστικές και υπάρχουν στην αντίπερα όχθη αλληγορικές που σε ταράζουνε. McCarthy’s stylistic choices (no quotation marks, no chapters, minimal punctuation) lead many to call this a badly written book. When in actuality it is a masterpiece of apocalyptic literature. McCarthy’s prose is unparalleled in my opinion. Every other page had me highlighting or catching my breath at its beauty or terror. In The Road we follow the man and the boy. A father and son traveling through the wasteland that is the former United States. What great cataclysm brought the world to such a horrific state? We aren’t told, and frankly it doesn’t matter. The pair face horrors unimaginable. Starvation, illness, cannibals. The world is bleak and without hope. All its former beauty and wonder shrouded and lost in a world of gray and ash. Book: The Dressmakers of Aushwitz Author: Lucy Adlington Media: Hoopla Audiobooks 🎧 Rate: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: This book was simply magnificent. I personally love when the author of the book also narrates, as it allows the reader to really get into the mindset of what the author was thinking and feeling in the moment. I’ve always liked the WW2 lessons in history, in particular how insane it was that everyone seemed to turn their heads as Jewish people were uprooted, killed, and erased. The willpower of the dressmakers are inspiring, heartbreaking, and all of the complex feelings that I don’t have the words for. There were a few lines in particular that really stuck out to me. The dressmakers recalled that the ashes of their comrades were used as fertilizer and dirt paths. History should not repeat itself. A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 0.5/🌶 What I loved: 🪡The Bridgerton with magic vibes 🪡Rosa. She was such a fun character, and I loved her dry disposition 🪡The world building and conflict I heard so many great things about this book I couldn't wait to finally read it. I was a little let down as my expectations were maybe too high. One reason was the book read more young adult than I was anticipating. It was still readable and enjoyable for any age, but definitely younger than I expected. Another thing that bothered me and pulled me out of the book was the scenes with the characters realizing they're queer. The scenes happened the same way and felt copied. The wording also made it feel disingenuous and confusing. Obviously, this is a M/F romance, but the wording made it sound like the FMC prefers women. I appreciated the attempts to make the book more open, but editing was most definitely needed to clarify. Other than those aspects, I loved everything else about the book. The characters were all well-written. The romance was sweet. I loved all the conflicts the MCs dealt with, both internal and external. The scenes with Kit and Rosa had me laughing. I'm also a sucker for found family, so I truly loved that, as well. Plus, the magic system and history were fascinating to me. I found this to be a great palate cleanser between more intense reads. I love reading. I own way more poetry books than any other genre, but I also like to reread poems. I don't ever reread novel or rewatch TV shows. My attention span is too short, but I do like to highlight and write down lines that really hit home. In poetry, that can sometimes be the entire poetry collection and that is often why I prefer to own physical copies of poetry books. I read across various genres, but I refuse to read thriller or horror. I have way too much anxiety for that. Obviously this might change, but I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress from here. I'm wondering if there's going to be any spicy romance in this series, like ACOTAR. I absolutely love Rowan. Like where has this man been. And I kinda like Aedion, I feel like he is gonna die at the end, saving his queen. Chaol is losing his appeal to me but hopefully the next book changes that. Poor Dorian, I hope he is okay. Manon Blackbeak has to be my favorite new character, because dragons. Eve, jazzed about and celebrating a recent potential development in her life, goes home with her friendly neighborhood bartender, Ethan, after a fun night out with friends. It’s a one-night stand, no one’s feelings are hurt when no one calls after. Eve lives her life, Ethan lives his. Until Eve misses her period and finds out she’s pregnant. Ethan handles the news better than most people probably would; his newly-rekindled girlfriend, on the other hand, is not so thrilled. So Ethan is torn between wanting to help Eve and be a part of the journey and appeasing the woman he loves. This is a cute little story about a plucky girl who deals with an absolute curveball in the best way possible, as she gets by with more than a little help from her friends (and her best friend’s extremely sweet and solid brother). I listened to this one, and the narration was very Eve — more spritely than most of us on our best days, using more metaphors than … a … metaphor … book? (Sure!) Stories such as this one are nice to read because they demonstrate how to make lemonade out of lemons with a jolly attitude to boot. I, myself, have way too much anxiety for one-night stands (zero judgment for those who can go for it!), so this one was a massive departure for me. The Prisoner's Throne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fun story- the first time I read The Cruel Prince Trilogy, I was not the biggest fan. To be fair, I read it immediately after the first time I read the ACOTAR Series and that's a tough act to follow. I re-read the series last year when The Stolen Heir was released and fell in love with the world of Elhame. Something that is so important to remember with this series is it is truly YA. If I had read this series when I was 12-15, it would have immediately been a favorite. I love how the series has grown and have adored this duology showing Oak grown up. His unyielding love to Wren is beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed how this journey played out. Reading update✨ 💬: what are you currently reading, and what are your thoughts so far? I wanted to jump on here today and give you all an update on my progress with Dragon Rider! I’m a bit over 40% through it, and I’m starting to really enjoy the story! It’s taken me a while to get through the bulk of the world building (as with any fantasy book) but I’m at the point now where I could just keep reading and not put the book down at all🤭 the action is definitely picking up, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the story progress! This is definitely the heftiest fantasy book I’ve read in a while (I’ve been reading a lot of YA lately) so it’s taking me a while to read since it takes a lot more focus to understand what’s happening. It definitely seems that the story is starting to pick up a lot more now though, so I’m confident that I’ll be able to finish it soon… hopefully before the release date so that I can have a review posted for you all!
