文 2024/04/27 《浮光樂影-音樂會邀請》 - 2024臺南國際音樂節 TAINAN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL _ 該來打一點感想了 第一次跟Koswing Big Band出去演出！ 大四的時候才開始有點接觸爵士樂，那個時候知道台南有Koswing這個地方，曾經去參加過一次樹葉老師的拉丁課程（發現新大陸！ 兩年前我辦了第一場獨奏會，最後一首曲目放了caravan，有三位Koswing的超厲害前輩來幫忙我，讓我順利完成！ 就是我的偶像學姐Fanny、凱麟老師還有鍾成老師🙇🏻 所以去年底開始到Koswing團練的時候，根本既興奮又緊張到不行，因為覺得自己還是爵士小菜鳥，然後要跟那麼多大咖一起團練，超怕雷到大家 我每次團練都超級焦慮，在鼓室練習的成果，團練時一定剩下不到一半 還好團長跟前輩們都已經太和藹 第一次去Koswing團員招募的時候，Kos就有跟我們說，一開始進來 如果演奏的東西有問題，他通常就會一直練那樣樂器，但是沒有關係，因為大家都是這樣過來的，所以都可以包容，也希望我們未來也可以包容以後進來的人 我那時候覺得好溫馨 實際上團練 還是緊張到一個不行🥹 我一開始都會很認真看這禮拜要練什麼的曲目表單去練習，結果我有練的，團練一定不會練到，要上的永遠都是沒練到的或者團練前5分鐘才放上去的😂😂 超賽！！（超級賽 亞人…… 大概就是可以看我選哪幾首要練，然後就 不要練那幾首。 曲子完成到一個程度還會錄音，錄音是最令我焦慮的事情，因為團長回去聽完，下一次會公審🥹 其實團長真的不會兇，而且人很好，但我就是會很焦慮 還好有祈均學長大大前輩🙇🏻🙇🏻 他每一次也都覺得很好笑（我的莫非定律 （大概就是 以前在學校讀書的時候當個努力的學生還有一點用處，現在出社會 努力，不一定有人要鳥你😢 但學長都會很罩，我們還沒準備好的曲子，他都會先carry我們，學長每次在打，我都在旁邊趕快學（大師班 然後很多打法上的問題請教學長，他也都會給我們建議 已經人太好😻 _ 那天去演出，沿路先去載了我的偶像學姐Fanny，在沿路去載凱麟老師 一早就有兩個偶像在我的車上，圓滿 後來開了有點遠到了鹽水 永成戲院好漂亮，裡面的木頭味好香 彩排的時候依然很焦慮 中午跟Fanny去吃了鹽水意麵，還有很厲害的咖啡，超級療癒❤️ 上台的時候有一點焦慮 但因為我本身是上台型樂手，所以上台的狀況通常一定比練習時好上兩倍，鬆一口氣 演出完鬆了更大一口氣 但也很開心！ 太開心了 然後要回程的時候 我把車鑰匙放在包包，把門關上 門鎖起來 …… 那時候感覺就是慘了 結果超多人！真的超多！大前輩！都來幫我想辦法，跟我說沒關係！！ 用盡了辦法 後來發現是venue的bug 大概10分鐘 就被凱麟老師破解了 神🥹 然後我是真的很感動，大家可以回家，結果都圍過來一起想辦法，有夠溫馨❤️ 回台南之後 又跟Fanny去逛街約會、吃飯 就這樣度過了充實的一天😍 _ 總之還是要很感謝Kos跟祈均學長平常團練的指點跟照顧🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻 _ #jazz #jazzband #jazzmusic #jazzmusician #jazzclub #jazzfusion #jazzlover #jazzy #jazzlife #drum #drums #drummer #drumming #drumstagram #drumset #drumlife #drumsticks #jazzdrums #jazzdrummer #snaredrum #hihat #tomtom #floortom #drumpedal #drumkit #ridecymbal #crashcymbal #cowballs #bongoball #人生不能沒有爵士

Earlier today, I attended the audio premiere of two compositions by a musical goliath, composer, and friend, Louis Dilegame, at Next Phase Sound Studio @nextphasestudio in Farmingdale, NY. These were copies of the full scores to read while listening. What a wonderful experience and fantastic compositions! Our connection stretches all the way back to our days in college (2007 onwards) at C.W. Post University (known as LIU Post @liupost nowadays). These two compositions are so well composed, orchestrated, and every meticulous detail was taken into account with such great care. The diversity, influence, and relaxation regarding not such strict structure/formulaic boundaries. Both contain such wonderful experiences that they definitely deserve to be commissioned and more. Congratulations, Louis! It was a pleasure to not only attend this premiere today but for you to have created and shared these compositions with us. You continue to exude such talent, dedication, and passion for the language that is music. What is there to say about this record? This is one of the records that Bruce Hauswirth’s (see High Adventure On A Hobby Horse post) parents bought after their arrival in the United States from Germany. Out of the 4 Grey Gulls that were in the lot, one was broken, one was clean, one had reversed labels, and this was the only fox trot. It was also, unfortunately, the one that was packed with the heaviest damage. Grey Gull records, according to American Record Companies and Producers, 1888 - 1950 by Allan Sutton, were pressed by the Scranton Button Company. He writes, “Grey Gull discs were pressed in soft, coarse material, and quality control was lax.” As a result, many Grey Gull records that one may come across today are severely damaged. So, who were the Banjopators? I don’t know. Nobody knows. They recorded a handful of material for Grey Gull in New York City through a series of 3 or 4 recording sessions, June(?), September, November, and December in 1920, and appeared in Talking Machine World on January 15, and March 15, 1921. Nathan Glantz recorded a rendition of “Chick A Dee” for Grey Gull on July 15, 1923, which was released on Grey Gull under the name of the Banjopators. After that, the Banjopators name disappears. Edit: Banjopators were also issued on Cleartone L-3037. Cleartone was another cheap record label that existed from 1920 - 22, produced by the Arto Company.
