A huge percentage of my discovery calls start out like this: “I’ve tried everything and nothing is working.” And this is where one-on-one support becomes so beneficial. There are typically one of two things happening in this scenario: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. They truly have tried ALL THE THINGS. They’ve bought the classes, read the books, implemented the methods...but never for an extended period of time. There are many ways to teach sleep, but it’s about finding the one that feels right to YOU so you will be consistent. Very rarely will a method work on day 1 or even day 2 or 3. So many parents I talk to are jumping around from thing to thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. There is an underlying issue keeping baby from being able to learn sleep. I’m always baffled when I ask certain questions and find out pediatricians haven’t been asking the same ones. It breaks my heart in many cases that a baby hasn’t been able to sleep because of pain or discomfort - and in 99.9% of the cases, it’s easily fixable when you take time to ask questions and implement some small changes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Does this resonate with you? Getty Center 오늘은 아이들 학교가 쉬는 날이었어요. 오랜만에 바람 좀 쐬러 나갈까 계획하다가 날씨가 너무 좋아서 하늘 쨍쨍할 때 가면 더더 예쁜 Getty Center에 다녀왔어요. 트램타고 올라가는 길마저 깨끗한 하늘덕분에 바라보는 모든 곳들이 예쁘더라고요. 인포메이션 센터에 가서 한국어 지도 한 장씩 들고, 아이들과 미술관에도 들어가보았는데 동화책의 한 장면을 보듯이 꽤나 관심을 가지며 유심히 보더라고요. ▪️가방은 조각품이나 그림들과 부딪히는 것을 방지하기 위해 1층 보관함에 보관하거나 앞으로 메야한데요. 첫째아이는 본인의 영어이름과 똑같은 반고흐의 Irises라는 그림을, 둘째는 유럽시대의 가구들과 샹들리에가 제일 좋았다며, 이런 집에 살고싶데요🤭 밖으로 나와 돗자리를 깔고, 준비해온 간식들을 먹으며 아이들과 그림도 그리고, 꽃들도 구경하며 따뜻한 햇살을 온몸으로 만끽하고 왔습니다. 첫째아이가 Irises라며 그린 그림, 너무 귀엽죠? #gettycenter #gettymuseum @gettymuseum
