One year later 🏆🤙👏 Faith + Consistency + Patience + Support & Discipline. That has been my recipe or trick. I started this journey 14 November 2022 I remember my first training session was 10 minutes … body weight only. My Dietician said just do it … and build on You will be amazed by how much you will grow February I started adding weights … never looked back I still enjoy a good Tae Bo session weekly I walk a lot started by walking around the house … at first I was like what will my neighbors think 🤣 I changed my diet a lot , My family has been so supportive on this journey My husband tops up my essentials / shares all the deals on the items I eat 😊❤️ My Top Tier Guy 😭 TIPS and why I didn’t stop 🤙🤟 - I have faced cancer before and realized when you are going through treatment whatever earthly possessions you have don’t matter but your body and health is what you need - My Family … I want to see my grand kids and be present for them - I attach my journey to things I can’t live without - Every evening before bed I take out my mat , line my gym clothes and weights out @agapemthembu has now started to take out my mat and weights 🤣 - I love cute things I buy gym clothes , water bottles etc - I walk 3km to fetch Agape from the Bus Stop -I cook my meals from scratch 5/7 days - I set challenges weekly on Garmin or my notes - Exercise for me is not punishment but a celebration of what my body can do -I praise God after every workout because I don’t wake up on my own .. God has been good to me that I don’t take for granted - My husband quirky motivation 🤣 “Uyophumula eCebolethu” - My first born whenever I mention a craving “That’s how it starts “ - When I train and cry out Agape imitates my cries and I laugh it off after every set 🤣 - My social media fam you guys rock .. you pop into my DM and send your wishes I don’t take that for granted *Guys when you ask me what works me and I mention my Dietician that’s because I’m not a Dr and can’t advise you * #TransformationPost #WeightLoss #FatLoss

Stress and aspie already do not mix well. Stress, aspie, and fibromyalgia is a recipe for shut downs. When I stress, my pain level tends to climb upward faster the longer I am stressed. Pain becomes a more significant part of what my brain has to manage, so my behaviors tend to slip more towards aspie than neurotypical. I'm essentially body blind (I don't really process them), and that comes with its own pluses and minuses. One of the more (sarcasm) fun effects happens whenever the need to learn a large number of people/names. Injury is one of those things that happens, no matter how much avoidance is practiced. Unfortunately, injuries cause the body to react in different ways than it does normally, many of them heightened. When I was younger, I was so pleased when I figured out some of the simple things on my own, like why tying shoelaces (around Grade 3) only worked certain ways. The problem was I would tell my peers my discoveries, and be met with the 'you're an idiot/crazy' looks because this was something that for them needed no explanation. Long post ahead … “You need to put your weight behind the things you are asking God for” - Pastor John Pope This was a sermon last year I was feeling thankful about beating my cancer and being healthy … and all I could remember was how much I was praying for my health , my little family and time. No joke cancer will knock you down .. getting back to a routine after treatment is hard , because you are recovering from trauma, scared of the cancer returning I mean the picture is not always beautiful. My team of doctors were happy with all the progress I was making But I had bargained with God that if I made it through I would prioritize my health and I began to ask myself how will I make my body better God for me to praise you for the gift of life? I knew I needed help , my GP referred me to a Dietician That I won’t lie was the scary part but I knew in my heart I was READY I was scared of my habits being judged and and … But the approach was gentle reassuring that I wouldn’t be alone We had a plan , targets , a new lifestyle. The journey started November last year. I had to create a workout plan , started with 10 minute workouts and build on that. I was clear I can’t afford a gym membership , for me working out at home was sustainable and to be around my people was my number one non- negotiable. If I said I was alone I would be lying My family was there for me , my husband would be sharing all the fitness content he would find , recipes , he would stock up the fridge with veggies , fruits , and each night he would remind me to put out my yoga mat , gym clothes , ensure my workout is downloaded because loadshedding … Here we are 9 months later 👏🙌 +40kg down BMI down from 42 to 28 Dress size has gone from 42/44 to 38 I feel very strong physically To my social media family you guys will give me a thumbs up on my Garmin workout pics , by now you know I love soccer and draw inspiration from athletes 😂 Thank you so much guys really appreciate it 🫶🙌 #ProgressPics
