Terrisa Bukovinac, president and founder of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, confirmed Wednesday via X that her ad — a presidential campaign including deeply disturbing footage of late-term aborted infants — aired during the NBC morning program, potentially reaching more than seven million people. Bukovinac, a self-avowed atheist, debuted the commercial in December of last year. In the ad, the progressive presidential candidate declared she “recovered the remains of these five babies” at a late-term abortion clinic in Washington, D.C. Her remarks come as graphic images of the fetal remains flash across the screen. “These are the faces of a genocide supported by Joe Biden and my own Democratic Party,” she says in the ad, as viewers see images of the president and Vice President Kamala Harris. She adds, “We can provide for the working class and resist this extremism,” urging voters to “never vote for a pro-choice Democrat again.” It should be noted Bukovanic told The Christian Post she never intended to win the Democratic presidential nomination. Rather, she launched her long-shot bid so she would have a platform to expose the evils of abortion to her fellow progressives. She appeared on CBN’s “Faith Nation” in 2019, when she first launched her pro-life group. “Secular people have always been a part of the pro-life movement,” she said at the time, after acknowledging she is atheist, later adding, “We know that the media is not generally on the side of the pro-life movement, but I’m an activist and it is my job to do whatever I can to bring visibility to this cause and especially those who consider themselves progressive and feminist and align with the general ideas and values of equality, non-violence, and non-discrimination who do oppose abortion.” (CBN News)

This month marks 4 years since I chose life. It didn't come to mind until I went to pick a silly lil song to pair with this post. The jumpsuit sparked my memory of @redjumpsuit and then it triggered more memories. For the longest time I couldn't even listen to this song when it came on. It reminded me too much of the things that I wanted to repress so desperately. April of 2020 I was living in SoCal attending college and working w/ animals. My partner and I were living together and establishing, what I thought, would be our future. I remember thinking "I am so lucky". Things slowly shifted, little by little. A person I once loved was a person I didn't recognize anymore. I became isolated, video cameras put all around and inside of the house, phone monitored. I was as domesticated as a stepford wife, and became someone I didn't even recognize. So many excuses were made for them. "They're just stressed, tired, overworked." "It's just a rough time. Relationships aren't always 50/50 after all". It started small and grew until the actions became so profound that even my sweet boy Jethro had to save me from being attacked. That's when I knew it was enough. I tried calling the police, they wouldn't do anything without any active assault occurring. They refused to open any investigation based on "he said/ she said". I tried calling our landlord, they refused to acknowledge it without a police report. I remember breaking down on those calls thinking I was going to die in that house. With the help of so many people I was fortunate to be blessed with, I was able to get out. Family, friends, strangers were all there for me in a time where the world was in complete disarray. I left half of my belongings behind and headed out to Arizona. For the first time we were free, we were safe. Everything and everyone I've met here has been a learning experience. We are all healing at our own pace from our own trauma(s). Figuring out who we are underneath it all. You are not your traumas. You may remain strong and stoic, but maybe this phase of your life strong doesn't look like it once had to. There is a beauty in softness. There is beauty with letting people in again.(Cont..)

The most simple switch for me was cleaning products but I did learn the hard way that "greenwashing" happens. I trusted an American made company that had clean natural products and while they may have been better than what I bought at the store, when my child happen to be drinking it I was told to call poison control and then told to go to the ER.
