I just love my Montana Clematis (Mountain Vine). Its beautiful pink flowers smell of vanilla ice cream đ©·đŠđ€ đ. This cunning Mountain Vine represents, sharpness and intelligence. It is fast growing and can climb up and around anything. In herbalism, the Montana Clematis can treat wounds, skin conditions and rheumatism. I won't be posting about plants next week, and I'll be having a little break from Instagram. I'm leaving my lovely cottage and garden tomorrow for my first overseas holiday in 17 years! I'm a little anxious about leaving my children for a week for the first time, but they will be in very good hands. As will my garden, which I don't like to leave this time of year either as it's looking so beautiful. The hermit life at home suits me, I've been conditioned into solitude for the last couple of decades, even though I spent my late teens and early twenties backpacking the world. Now I shy away from society. However, sometimes getting out of your comfort zone can be a good thing. The new experience and break will do me the world of good. Sunny Border - two views of this border. I have planted a new clematis on the trellis swipe âŹ ïž to see close up. It's a Motana Freda described as being a well behaved montana and ideal for small gardens. I've wanted one for years but always thought they'd be too thuggish in my little garden - so I have high hopes for this one. It's been in a few weeks and is already doing well. I bought it from #taylorsclematis and it came well packaged and very healthy looking. The last pic is the Star Jasmine which used to be against the trellis. I thought I'd lost it through all the frosts last winter. But in late spring a little shoot appeared. I dug it up and repotted it and it's doing well as you can see. Re sharing my prize-winning garden from the 90s đ€ through the Montana covered arch, I had a gravel path with borders on either side full of wildflowers, roses, and different trees and shrubs. That led to two gravel seating areas. My greenhouse was on one side and a large lawn, leading to a circle created with a gravel path and another long border at the side of the lawn. That was full of wild flowers and thistle. I had a flowering cherry tree and a Laburnum tree at the bottom. We had views over #leasowespark and #clent from the bedroom window.
