Bismillah I’m writing this with no direction. Just an intention to empty the weight that lives in my heart. To free myself of the suffocating that has rooted into my very being. I feel utterly and absolutely useless. Ever since the ma.ssacres of our brothers and sisters in G@za began I can’t function in a manner that makes sense. Added to this incessant heartbreak my husband, 4 children and I made hijrah to a different country as the weight of a slow business death in South Africa was beginning to loom ahead. Isn’t that what one does? Forecast within calculated reason, place your trust in Allah and go with the waves of life. But how does one begin new beginnings, exert maximum effort, strive to better yourself and deliver your duties with excellence in the midst of such a catastrophic ummah suffering. Every movement feels laden with steel. The ongoing looping in my mind, the barrage of emotion in my body and the weight of heartbreak has gripped me so much so that often I become numb. At times I stare into space, cry anytime anywhere, I feel guilt for doing human things, and become frustrated at my kids for not reading Quran or levelling up in their acts of worship. I have become frustrated with my exhaustion and my burnout. I am tired. But that makes me feel guilty too. How dare I be tired while evil continues upon G@za. Upon all the oppressed of the world. My eyes and limbs they cry. I feel I need to do more. I don’t know how to do more😢 I am tired, the tiredness that sifts into your bones, that moves with your every move, that leaves traces of it with the food you prepare, the walk that you take, the prayers that you pray, it remains day in and day out. I want to scream Why can’t the world grant P.alestinians their freedom? Why do world leaders choose evil? Ya Allah You know our collective pain. Increase us in steadfastness and do not let the pain of the world overwhelm our hearts and fill us with grief. Ya Allah I trust in Your Wisdom and surrender to the waves that unfolds. ALLĀH AR-ROZAQ (THE PROVIDER) At-Talaq 65:3 وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُۚ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدْرًا English - Sahih International And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent. One of the attributes of ALlāh (Subhanawata'ala) is AR-ROZAQ (The provider) ALlāh has set a measure for everything, ALlāh promise those who put their trust in him that he shall suffice for them against all odds, because he'll execute his decisions that he made for them in whatever way he wills and desire. Ever wondered why the birds leave their nest with an empty stomach in the morning and come back full in the evening? Put your trust in ALlāh to provide all your needs for you, even when you want to buy 10 naira sweet, make du'a to ALlāh and ALlāh will provide for you where you do not expect. Making du'a and putting our trust in ALlāh means we're acknowledging that we're powerless and nothing without ALlāh, it shows our humbleness and submission to ALlāh. Have total reliance on ALlāh (tawakkul), because ALlāh never let his servants down. حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ ٱلْوَكِيلُ Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs." Take all your worries, problems, fear to ALlāh (He's sufficient for us) and he's the best disposer of our affairs.
