Lovely, Dark, and Deep (2024) Blurb: A tight little indie-horror about a newly-hired back-country ranger who finds herself facing off against paranormal forces from deep within the woods. This was able to achieve a lot with a little. The tone is so creepy and unsettling, I think it may very well be in the back of my head on my next camping trip. It has some nightmarish imagery and a solid central performance from Georgina Campbell (who you may know from 2022’s “Barbarian” and “All My Friends Hate Me”). The Offering (2022) Genre : Horror Rating : 7/10 While expecting their first child, a young couple decides to visit their family business and things take a turn. Well, my brother mentioned this movie to me, and on a binging episode, I watched like three horror movies in a night, this was one of them. I actually liked this one, it was pretty intense. The story was very nice, I even checked up on the mythology and its all true, which makes it a little creepier. The actors were pretty awesome, and the storyline was good, even though it was kinda predictable. The scary scenes were great, like there were a lot of jump scares here and there, they worked well and scared me a couple of times. Youre probably asking yourself by now why I gave it such a low rating if it was such a nice movie. Well, it was all good, scary stuff, until we got to the main demon, im not even kidding, it was a horribly CGI’d goat demon, that just took you directly out of the movie experience, like imagine watching a great movie and then to having it ruined by a CGI goat. Despite that, it was pretty good, especially rhe ending, I adored the ending, I love when horror movies don’t have happy endings, it makes them super perfect! So, if you want to watch a good horror movie with a slightly funny demon, you should check this out. Esta es sin duda, y no lo digo yo y no es por exagerar, una de las mejores series live-action que Marvel ha hecho jamás. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. significa mucho para mi y me encanta todo lo que tiene: un gran desarrollo de persoanje, una muy buena (pero no perfecta o imperfecta) escritura, sus conexiones y referencias a las películas y series del MCU (en especial las que hicieron que me adentrara a la serie, (alerta de spoiler) las menciones directas/indirectas de Thanos y la Guerra del Infinito en la 5ta temporada), y mucho más. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., al igual que las demás series del MCU producidas por Marvel Television (incluyendo las series de Netflix de los Defensores, Inhumans, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger y Helstrom), siempre serán canónicas en el MCU para mi a pesar de todo porque estas series se crearon con la intención de que se ambienten en el MCU y no necesitan hacer crossovers con algunos personajes como los Vengadores para que así compartan el mismo universo (a diferencia de lo que James Gunn planea con el nuevo Universo DC). Como dijo antes el expresidente de Marvel Television Jeph Loeb: "It's All Connected" ("Está todo Conectado"). Una película con buen materia prima pero con una trama muy vista que casi parece un mix en plagio de ‘The Vigil’ y de ‘La autopsia de Jane Doe’. Con un fuerte elemento religioso y con unos personajes que exploran costumbres y ritos judíos, sobre todo en la fase de la muerte y los velos del cuerpo, a nivel de toda su realización la película cumple holgadamente su cometido y nos dirige con acierto y claridades a través de la historia que quiere contar. Sin embargo, es casi imposible tener la sensación de ver algo nuevo o diferente, por no decir ya original. Tiene buenos ingredientes pero el interés y la atención del público, junto con su curiosidad, van decayendo en picado a medida que avanza su acción. Nach der Zerschlagung von S.H.I.E.L.D versuchen Phil Coulsen und sein Team die Organisation wieder aufzubauen. Es geht auf die Suche nach weiteren Antworten über das T.A.H.I.T.I. Projekt, außerirdischer Technologie und einer neuen Gruppe von außergewöhnlichen Menschen. Auch Hydra ist weiterhin eine Gefahr. Die zweite Staffel knüpft überzeugend an die Geschehnisse der Ersten an und schafft dabei recht interessante Charakter-Storys. Es gibt auch einige neue Charaktere, die sich bereits nach wenigen Folgen gut etabliert haben. Die Handlungsstränge bewegen sich mit angenehmem Tempo fort, sodass selten Langeweile aufkommt. Manchmal ist es aber schade, wenn beim Lüften von Geheimnissen, die eigentliche Frage nur erweitert wird. So wirkt der rote Faden hier und da künstlich in die Länge gezogen. Teilweise werden storytechnisch auch recht viele Fässer geöffnet. Der Unterhaltung der einzelnen Folgen schadet das aber weniger. Was aber doch oft auffällt ist das teils schwache CGI und billig wirkende Kämpfe. Es gibt durchaus Momente, wo alles einigermaßen passt, doch kommt es immer mal wieder zu recht peinlichen Szenen. Nichts desto Trotz, kann man mit der zweiten Staffel locker unterhalten werden, wenn man nicht alles auf die Goldwaage legt. Was einen letzten Endes bei der Stange hält, sind die Charaktere mit ihren Storys und Beziehungen. So können manche Dialoge gar überraschen. Die Serie ist schon ganz in Ordnung, aber natürlich noch lange kein Meisterwerk. Sigue al forense David Hunter, que ha dejado su trabajo para establecerse como médico en el pueblo de Manham. Cuando una mujer aparece muerta, David lucha por mantenerse al margen de la investigación. No he leído los libros en los que se basa la serie, pero me gustó mucho el planteo desde el primer minuto que luego mantuvo durante los 6 capítulos que dura esta temporada. Lo eficaz que tiene esta serie, es que presenta una historia de fondo para darnos algo de contexto sobre el personaje principal de Harry Treadaway. El caso inicial es lo suficientemente espeluznante e incómodo como para sentar una buena base y, aunque adiviné a los "asesinos", había hecho un trabajo bastante bueno al crear múltiples temas e hipótesis. Lejos del relleno que suelen hacer en EEUU con esta clase de temáticas, esta corta primera temporada que nos mete de lleno en este nuevo drama forense británico, tiene algo bueno y es que te da interés sin aburrir, y eso que si bien su ritmo es algo lento, tiene contenido y del bueno sin caer en lugares comunes o escenas vacías con información que no va a ningún lado. Me gustó y ojalá hagan una segunda temporada, ya que su background es muy bueno, es interesante, está bien ejecutado y me hizo acordar mucho a los thrillers de David Fincher. The cast of the show did an amazing job including the guest stars, writers, director and creator of the show including staffs did an excellent job on this show too.
