Every spring and summer, I'd see him walking with a bag of bulbs or seeds and a small shovel. He was always planting flowers around all the telephone and electric poles. I didn't talk to him as much as I would have liked - he preferred to keep to himself - but he'd always wave and nod his head when he saw me. And now, every time I walk down the road, I see his flowers everywhere. And I wave and nod my head to them. (il giorno zero inevitabilmente ti cambia, in tutti i sensi, fisicamente è semplice da raccontare, psicologicamente è tutta un'altra storia) 6.e 5. C'è un dopo...(fatto di interminabili attese, sospiri, paure, noia, molta rabbia, fame, formicolii, tachicardia e luci belle in posti brutti) 4. ...e ancora un dopo... (un dopo che è "un pò di più", fatto di scelte, speranze, porte piombate e cibo insipido) 3. C'è una strada, sempre la stessa, sempre diversa... (7.9 km è la distanza tra casa mia e l'Ospedale, distanza percorsa avanti e indietro un numero di volte che non ho voglia ricordare) 2. C'è un cielo sempre lo stesso, sempre diverso (se si escludono le foto scattate al tettuccio della macchina che per ovvie ragioni ho scartato, devo dire che ho visto l'arcobaleno più bello che avessi mai visto) 1. E poi c'è la nebbia che attutisce i colpi (si, beh, insomma, io sono di queste terre basse qui e la nebbia mi appartiene) Ho scattato queste foto con la macchina fotografica e, per ovvie ragioni, con il cellulare, rischiando lungo la strada lo schianto (non ditelo a mia madre) perché il tempo di fermarmi non me lo sono preso. In ospedale mi guardavano un pò strana ma vai a spiegare loro che fotografare è mettere la giusta distanza. Nessuna foto è stata editata perché la vita che scorre il più delle volte non la si può manipolare. Oggi si è conclusa una fase fatta di tutte queste cose qui. Mi prendo una piccola pausa da questo mondo della Sanità che sta franando inesorabilmente e che, come in ogni luogo, è abitato da persone che, pur avendo mani e piedi legati, sono ancora capaci di trasmettere un'umanità rara e preziosissima. Unico cruccio di tutta questa storia è non essere riuscita ad emanare un aura fluorescente in piena fase radioattiva, sarebbe stata una foto bellissima, come l'aurora boreale. I was walking downtown the other night after a meeting because the air was so fresh and crisp after rain. I wanted to fill my lungs with as much of it as I could. A pair of ladies waiting at the corner with me were discussing how some Christmas lights were still up...how terrible it was...how unsightly...how lazy the people must be... They just kept going on and on. Their voices almost drowned the lovely vibe I was feeling. For me, the lights symbolize peace, love, and goodwill. Things this world sorely needs. Tiny multicolored beacons of happiness sending a little warmth out to anyone who is lucky to walk past their glow. Had a good time touring with @busch_w on a @the_ulfhednar_project mission this past week. Once again the @cardiffsnowcraft “ Bonsai” making exploration fun and easy. The way this thing handles “ variable conditions “ is amazing. From deep pow to concrete, it will get you off the mountain in style! If you haven’t tried the Faceglove Flex from @outerugear you’re missing out! I love the way I barely know it’s there. I forgot it a couple of tours ago and definitely got sun burnt. When the sunlight hit me and lit my skin too, I felt transformed.
