Rocko was hopeful that his family would come and pick him up but sadly, the days have turned into weeks and still no one has come to claim him. Like most animals at our shelter, we don’t know much about his history but we do know that he has had multiple owners over the years. Rocko’s dream is to have just one more family open their hearts and homes to him for his best years and get him out of the stressful shelter environment. Rocko is a handsome pitty with beautiful brown spots all along his body. We especially love his big, wide, jowly smile with his tongue dangling out. His soulful brown eyes are just begging anyone who walks by his kennel to take him home. He is a favorite among our volunteers who love to tell him what a good boy he is. A Hounds Around Town volunteer took him on a hike and raved about him, “Rocko is affectionate and confident, he walked over the very wobbly bridge without any hesitation and seems very drawn to humans in general. He knows sit, shake and down, might be house trained and he’s adorable with his perfectly color coordinated beautiful brown eyes and matching cow spots. Got to take adorable Ezme out of the shelter today! Went to wheeler farm & then McDonald’s for a burger. She loved exploring & has the cutest ears that flapped in the wind as she’d take in her surroundings. When we’d pass people or dogs, she wasn’t reactive at all. After we finished our adventure at wheeler farm & got back in the car, she laid down curled up, got some belly rubs, & then sat up & slowly closed her eyes, wiped from all the fun haha. She was great in the car & gently took the burger from my hands after patiently waiting in the back seat for it. Loved hanging w/this cutie today! Zeus. You found me. You found us. Three months ago, we had to say goodbye to our wonderful Toto. It was hard saying goodbye to our buddy. But-my heart knew that there was another buddy out there who needed us. And there was @ms.jacobson who kept putting up pics from the @saltlakecountyanimalservices and all of the dogs who needed a home. I’ve wanted a husky. For a long time. And there he was. Just under two weeks ago, our newest boy came into our life. Thank you @chrisgardnerr2 for saying yes to our boy. Zeus. You are a big boy and so full of love and energy. It’s like you’ve always belonged here. It took a few days for you and Grace to be ok with each other, but all is well. I am grateful for @saltlakecountyanimalservices for finding you and the family who fostered you for the last five months. There are so many animals out there who need homes.
