Time for a little change - or a tweak at least!!! To make it things more manageable for myself and easier for you all to follow - my aim will be to post something once per week on a WEDNESDAY. If I post in addition to this day it will be to share the work of one of you from this amazing community. The Wednesday posts will be more interactive or informative so those are the ones to look out for and then at least we don’t have to rely on algorithms to make the posts show up. I’m also going to stop with the text only posts as I don’t think many people are seeing these as I don’t think the algorithm favours them 🤷🏻♀️ who knows. FINAL CHALLENGE OF THE YEAR!!! … my last post said “not long now” and that was almost a month ago 🙈🙈 oops sorry! So the theme is distortion - I thought this would be a fun one for the end of the year as it’s less restrictive - use whatever reference you like and make a conscious effort to distort it or amplify, exaggerate an element of it or all of it 🤷🏻♀️ and it doesn’t have to be a portrait it can be anything. The final image on this one hasn’t been distorted beyond the reference it is the angle that has caused it- so you could even stick to the reference if you like if it works with this theme. Don’t forget to tag the actual photo with @smallvoiceco and I’ll share the creations to stories. Awakin Talks, Mumbai Listening to stories of THE STILL, SMALL VOICE Our Founder Sonia Mackwani was invited as an esteemed speaker. It was a memorable and inspiring evening with stories of change-makers who discovered their inner voice and lived into their calling! Four motivational everyday heroes shared their life journeys and experiences of listening to ‘the still, small voice’. The idea was to help people reflect on questions like, What is this deeper guidance, and how do we connect with it? When the "listen and follow your heart" responses are driven by our unconscious biases, what practices reconnect us to that place of universal goodness? Along the way, how do we differentiate the ego's voice from the heart's voice? Sonia spoke about her out-of-body experience at the age of 4 made her encounter the invisible world. This, along with the insight that this is her last life shaped the foundation of her entire life. Self-Work, Seva, Sadhana, her mantras also became the Mantra of Touching Lives as an organization, helping the children to have a safe place, learn tools of healing and self-work and work towards adding light to the consciousness. Her intention is to lead an Akarmic life. There is so much more to talk about but the little voice inside her that told her she is here to be the energy of love gave birth to Touching Lives which completed its 20 years last week and have supported so many lives through education and mental health. A small voice within can be a light to many!
