Over the weekend I made a ART mask 😜 It represents all the positive things to come out of lockdown. While it is difficult coming into a new way of living, and so much loss and heartache for so many around the world, I have to choose to focus on all the incredible ways people are rising up in the face of adversity. Helping each other, sharing gifts, remembering all the small things in life which are way, way bigger than those things we felt we needed in the past to feel better, feel stronger, feel accepted. Life is showing us all we need is a more caring, thoughtful, understanding, forgiving and loving community. And as weeks turned into months, I chose to stay focused on the good of people, the sincere and honest people that show up most days with love in their heart and a warmth to their story. Not one to ever have concerned myself with 'how many followers' on social media, or 'run with the pack' of what's new now, I also made my page private a month ago so I could stay focused on my commitment to remaining positive in thought and in work. That's not to say I haven't been saddened by so much trauma Covid has brought us all. But in my small space of creativity, most days, I chose freedom.
