For the past year or so I’ve been putting most of my creative energy into transforming an old barn into a new studio (with a lot of help from my friends)! The barn was actually the old livery stable when kids used to ride horses to the Kelly school. Needless to say it needed a lot of work: kick out the bats, mouse proof, button up the walls, insulate, a new wood stove (clean burning & renewable resource!)….on and on! Almost all of the lumber was salvaged from buildings the park was tearing down and construction dumpsters. I’m on course to wrap up some details this spring and get back to painting full time! And the amazing wildlife of this ecosystem we live in. Especially the moose, moose and many more moose! This photo was taken on a day of bicycling through the Tetons and a dip in Jenny Lake. If you visit you should find a way to bicycle or cross country ski (depending on the season) along the front of the Tetons.
