This week marks four years…four years since I took a little leap of faith, created my LLC and started my training to become a travel agent. Smart Moms Travel had their monthly State of the Union call last night and I was announced as one of the top three agents in my category. There were 700 active agents in March, to be in that top tier is humbling to say the least. A HUGE thank you to the clients who trust me with their vacation plans. We were enjoying our favorite Sleepy Hollow fresh fruit waffle sandwich when we saw a line slowly forming near a cast member with an Easter basket. I can still picture the worn out red Lightning McQueen shoes he wore every single day when he was younger. We bought those shoes in a new size every year for as long as we could find them! When we took our McQueen-lovin’ toddler to Disney for the first time, we knew we had to stay at Art of Animation so he could “meet” McQueen in real life! His sweet little face lighting up as we walked through Radiator Springs, running from car to car until he spotted his absolute favorite! It’s a core memory moment for me and I smile every time I see that photo and remember that day. A couple weeks before our August trip, we added a night in a Cars Family suite for his 10th birthday, it felt like the perfect choice, and totally lived up to the hype. Even though he’s got lots of new interests and McQueen isn’t on the list anymore, it was still a highlight of the trip for him. And we got to recreate one of my favorite Disney moments. Pretty cool to see how much he’s changed in 7 years. It was one epic Disneyland adventure with my dear friend, Jen. We had canceled flights, stuck at an airport, rescued by cousins, rebooking home flights—but we kept smiling and laughing. We needed this adventure after the last 3 years working together—this was our last year, as I am moving on to student teaching. We ate alll the things (shared most), rode everything we wanted to ride (including Webslingers and Rise of the Resistance), only waited in line on avg 10-20 minutes—truly incredible. We walked over 25 miles in 2 days, which is good since we ate everything on our list of must-haves. I found my Disney match—rope drop till park closes, loves roller coasters, despises Ferris wheels, prefers California Adventure over Disneyland, and speed walker extraordinaire. Thanks Jen for an epic vacay. 🚨Beginning June 15 🚨 FACE COVERINGS Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in most areas. Face coverings will still be required of all Guests on Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails and Disney Skyliner. While we will not require proof of vaccination, we expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attractions and transportation. Guests must observe current policies on face coverings until June 15. PHYSICAL DISTANCING We will be relaxing physical distancing guidelines for Guests.
