Today’s workout was fantastic. I beat all my numbers from last week and felt damn good while doing it. The weight was moving like butter today💪🏽. I’ve almost maxed out the DBs at planet fitness so I’ll probably be upgrading to Gold’s Gym in the next few months— if I decide that I still want to weight train in a public gym 2x a week (rn I do 2 weight training days from home, 2 in the gym, and 1-2 days of cardio/core training every week). It’s super exciting to see my strength going up and lifting weight, for reps, that I couldn’t come close to just a year ago. Feeling good about my progress today and confident in this flesh sack. Wig. Pretty close to 4 years on T > a few months over 5 years on T. So about 1.5 years between photos. Left is the longest I've had my mullet. Right now it's pretty long, but not enough to keep it forward. I reset it in December 2022 to the mini version of it, and it's been growing since (beside the fade I freshen up every 1 to 2 weeks, and I cut the top every few months.) I really like it at all stages, even the baby stages with the more obvious short duck tail. It just depends on when I'm feeling like I want a shorter version. Hey, y’all! Time for a life update and check in…yours truly is now a proud transgender man & my pronouns are he/they. 🏳️⚧️ You may be wondering why I have to share this? Well representation matters, which is why I started sharing my journey when I came out as trans three years ago and first identified as nonbinary. I didn’t see anyone like me growing up. I feel that is why I struggled and kept silent for years. Not to mention, childhood trauma & later my own healing took a lot of my focus so I didn’t start recognizing my own gender identity until much later in life. I now recognize that there were many moments in my youth that indicated I was a transgender man but I had no clue, I just kept shoving it all down. I’ve since discovered that this is my true form, and I’m excited to embrace it. So now what? Well, you keep living your life as you have been aka supporting me and my authenticity. Meanwhile, I will continue on my journey, reclaiming not only my childhood but also creating the life I want to exist in and share with others. Left pic: 2017. This was a screenshot of a video I took. I was miserable and was feeling so hopeless. I had only come out as trans a few months prior. That first year is hard. There's no sugarcoating it. I was constantly being misgendered and misunderstood. I hated myself. A month or so after this, I was at my lowest and didn't want to live anymore. I genuinely thought things would never get better or easier. ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Right pic: 2024. I took this after a PT session last week. I'm at a point in my life where I look at a pic of myself and realise I am who the person in the left pic was longing for. As I continue to work on myself, physically and mentally, what I know for certain is that transitioning was the best step I've ever taken. I don't think I would still be here if I didn't transition. That's the reality a lot of people are facing. It's a matter of life or death. Please support your trans loved ones. Both myself and Mr. Archimedes don't feel particularly well so we did some major snuggling last night. Poor kitty. I'm so tired I can barely function today, and I've got some cold symptoms as well. My CT scans came back clear - although apparently I have a kidney stone in my left kidney that my doctor thinks "isn't causing a problem." So since there's nothing overtly wrong with my insides, it's pointing more to Lyme as the fundamental issue here. At least it's not Lyme + something else on top of it. Today I can barely keep my eyes open to write this and have learned that yes, it is impossible to do things 2 days in a row and not feel like the dead. I know I keep harping on the fatigue and exhaustion, but I'm fatigued and exhausted. Still looking forward to my appointment with Infectious Diseases on May 2nd to hopefully get more answers, and maybe a little more direction as well. If you're able to help in any capacity so I can get some of the medical supplies I need (supplements, probiotics, etc) that are not covered by insurance, as well as take care of other life and medical costs as well as rent, bills (and I gotta get Mr. Archimedes a supplement as well cause the poor old man is sickly), it would be most appreciated.
