Jim and I stopped here after a work trip. We only had 3 hours or so and the ranger suggested the Ledges trail. We were completely astonished and so delighted by @cuyahogavalleynps - we meant to come back but never had the chance. The girls and I โtook Jim with usโ as we walked the trail again today. Just as spectacular! ABOUT OUR APRIL TRIP TO AZERBAIJAN Words by @urmilaporus "I, Dr. Urmila Peshoton would like to pen the fabulous memories of my very first travel with โW.O.Wโ. I am a medical Doctor by profession, mother of 2 children and a traveller by heart. To be honest. this was my first solo international holiday without family or friends and needless to say I had a few butterflies in my stomach, wondering if I should go or not. In hindsight, I am so glad I went ahead with my decision to join this lovely group and in the process made great friends and created fond memories. Right from the time I landed at Baku airport till the time I departed, it was simply too good. The group consisted of women from all walks of life with ages varying from 30 to 80. The common thread was we all loved to travel and enjoyed good company. Thanks to the camaraderie and bonding of the group, the long bus journeys were all about life stories and laughter. In fact the founder of W.O.W @sumitra.senapaty also joined the trip, which was the icing on the cake. The effective planning by the W.O.W team started even before the trip commenced โ they had taken effort to ensure that I got a room partner who matched my wavelength and we really gelled. So much so, that we were nicknamed โMele me bichdi sistersโ The itinerary was quite detailed and well executed with occasional hiccups which were swiftly sorted. Overall ,the stay, the food arrangements, sight-seeing, were all enjoyable with many new experiences. To put it simply, the trip was just WOW !!. Venturing solo often has the biggest challenges and the most rewarding moments. An Eat Pray Love tripโ โจโ While I enjoyed the book "Eat, Pray, Love", I also think it romanticized travel to the point where many people now think that every time they leave home theyโre going to have a transformative experience.โ โ๏ธโ But, sometimes travel is simpler than that: a relaxing beach vacation, a stunning hiking trip, a week of delicious food.โ It has benefits, but it may not exactly change you.โ ๐๏ธโ But, what about when it does?โ ๐คโ Personally, I have always found that the trips that truly impact you are the ones that take you out of your comfort zone.โ ๐ โ One trip that comes to mind for me is Mongolia. there are some things that happen that make me believe the theory that the future, present and past are all happening at the same time. and this is one of themโฆ in the taxi on my first day in Vietnam, heading to hoi an from the airport, my eyes suddenly welled up with tears, my heart fluttered with an intense feeling of happiness and an intuitive thought told me that โiโm going to really like it here.โ logically it made no sense, considering i had never been to hoi an and i hadnโt yet even arrived - and so i can only say that it felt like the โfuture meโ that was already there, having the beautiful experiences i ended up having, was signaling to the โme just arrivingโ that this place was going to be special. or rather, i was briefly aware of the โpresentโ that was taking place in what weโd call the future. does that make any sense? and now, looking back, having had such a heart warming time, to the point that on my very last day, i did cry. multiple times. tears of gratitude and love for everything that hoi an had turned out to be and i see how those feelings, emotions and bodily reactions i had in advance , were truly signals of what was to come. have you ever had this? a strong of intuitive feeling / message in advance of how your experience will be somewhere new? or does this make no sense ๐ hoi an โฆ all parts of me, past present and future, thoroughly enjoyed that โtimeโ with you. ๐ป๐ณ๐ค ๐hoi an, Vietnam

Snowshoeing through the gorgeous landscapes of Northern Norway, alongside a frozen lake, during the magical blue hour. You can look out on stunning landscapes while you... well, you know. So you don't miss the views even for a second! Winding down in a hot tub in Senja, while it was 0 degrees outside, waiting for the sun to completely go down and for the Northern Lights to show up! The most awaited game of hide-n-seek, when the Lights finally showed up, against the majestic Lofoton backdrop. Recently I decided to take a solo beach camping tripโฆhereโs some of my fave pics from the experience! Lately, due to work I have struggling to fit in travel and luckily I had three days off and decided to make the most of it with a mini vacation! This campsite is called the Alamo Outpost at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I have often camped out in tents with relatives or friends, but this trip I decided to do it all on my own! In each military style outpost there are four military style cots. The area is far off from any of the other campers (besides three other outposts) but is right off of two main walking trails through the state park. Night two, I had a visitor (a raccoon!) who entered my tent and was scavenging for food, what a time! I built a fire to enjoy, went for bike rides, and I lived on the beaches all day, and got to know myself on a deeper level. Whilst some may not enjoy camping or roughing it, I prefer trips like this opposed to staying in fancy condos or living extravagantly. Spending little to no money and immersing myself in nature is my favorite form of travel because it really makes me look around and appreciate each and every momentโฆ Experiences like this one may scare some, but as a woman traveling alone it is possible and it is so very worth it. The amount of peace that I felt during this experience was so fulfilling and I look forward to going back one day!
