Rheinorange ist der Name einer 1992 in Duisburg-Kaßlerfeld errichteten Skulptur an der Mündung der Ruhr in den Rhein bei Rheinkilometer 780. Sie wurde von dem Kölner Bildhauer Lutz Fritsch aus Stahl gefertigt und bildet eine Landmarke. Die Flussmündung, der größte Binnenhafen Europas, der Ort Duisburg als wichtiger Standort für die Stahlindustrie, für Technologie und als Standort des Lehmbruck-Museums als bedeutendes Museum für moderne Skulptur in Europa sollen alle Aspekte des Duisburger Wirtschafts- und Kulturlebens miteinander verknüpfen. Oggi vi portiamo a Collecchio (Parma) per la seconda tappa del progetto “Social Art by Lincotek”, realizzato in partnership con il Gruppo Lincotek e che si avvale dell'ideazione e della direzione artistica di PopUp Studio. “Evolution”, questo il titolo del murale di TWOONE, eclettico artista giapponese di fama internazionale che con la sua personalissima e grazie al supporto dei dipendenti Lincotek di Collecchio, ha trasformato lo stabilimento del Gruppo in un autentico landmark di arte contemporanea. Grazie all’ausilio di aste, rulli, pompa a pressione, acrilici e tutta la sua concentrazione, TWOONE ha dipinto eleganti elementi figurativi che si stagliano su di un fondo “rosso terra”. Il colore scelto rimanda a quello aziendale ma anche a quello del territorio e della natura circostante. Sulle tre pareti contigue, per circa 400 mq di superfice, prendono vita delle laboriose mani intente a disegnare. Esse rappresentano l’idea di un uomo artigiano, progettista, cittadino del mondo, componente indispensabile della comunità Lincotek. Tra le immagini prodotte dall’artista giapponese è impossibile non citare la gazza ladra (Picapica), simbolo di una realtà globale. Infatti questo uccello, oltre ad essere uno degli animali locali più comuni, migra nel mondo e vive in tanti paesi differenti, esattamente come la Lincotek. Se si osserva attentamente l’opera, tra il leggiadro movimento di flora e fauna è possibile scorgere alcune api; sinonimo di una “comunità” come Lincotek che vive con passione il territorio e l’attività lavorativa. Così, grazie al talento di @t_w_o_o_n_e una struttura architettonica industriale è diventata un “monumento”, un’opera site specific capace di attuare una trasformazione che genera valore artistico, sociale e culturale. It is not known when the first building appeared on the site, but the present building was constructed in 1828 as one of a: .group of three commercial buildings for merchants Obadiah Holmes and Edward Remsen. In 1897 a fifth story with modillioned cornice was added, and the three upper stories were faced with yellow brick. The two lower stories were altered to their present nee-Federal appearance in 1920. Round-arched openings with keystones accent the second floor. The small-paned double-hung sash which adds to the neo-Federal character of the facade dates from the latest alteration.
