Once upon a time, in a land far far away (known as the 90s) she found herself in a classic situation: girl meets boy, girl fancies boy, and boy happens to be an avid outdoorsman. And she did what we all do when hormones are ruling our brains. She exaggerated her outdoor abilities without considering the consequences, not fully grasping how outdoorsy he was. On one of their first dates, her new beau suggested they go hiking; because as previously mentioned, he was super into nature and hiking. And thought she was too. But, when she showed up in her jeans, he knew he had a novice on his hands. What ensued is six hours of the greatest discomfort a non-hiking chic could face, it’s very hard to be cute when you feel like your bits are stuffed into a sausage casing made of cement. There is a happy ending (not that kind) (!) A few weeks ago I had a great day @studioofsewing in a follow up to the pants drafting sessions I did last year. Karina helped me draft some fancy pockets and fly and generally get my pants block into a chinoish style. These are my wearable muslin after a day of work and cycling.
