Hello everyone! @sightseeingsam and I are bursting with happiness as we share an update on our incredible journey. We are now almost 20 weeks into our pregnancy, expecting not just one, but two precious little ones - a baby boy and a baby girl! Our hearts are filled with anticipation as we approach this significant milestone in our journey to parenthood. It feels surreal to think that in just a few short months, we will be welcoming our beautiful twins into the world. This journey began a decade ago, when the idea of becoming parents first took root in our hearts. Fast forward to Christmas 2021, when I surprised Sam with an appointment to the fertility clinic, kickstarting our adventure in the most unexpected way. Since then, our excitement has only grown. We had the privilege of working with an exceptional egg donor, and thanks to her, we were able to create embryos that are now thriving. Our incredible friend & gestational carrier, Heather, has been caring for our precious babies with love and dedication. As we reflect on this incredible journey, we are immensely grateful for the support and kindness we have received from Heather and her husband Brad (BJ), who have been there for us every step of the way. They are truly a blessing, and we cannot thank them enough. With each passing day, our anticipation grows as we prepare to welcome our baby boy and baby girl into a home filled with love, warmth, and countless joyful moments. Folding laundry today and as I was turning around I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and couldn’t help but chuckle and shake my head 😅 This is the my belly is going crazy today with intense pressure look and baby girls kicks are strong enough now I’ve started feeling them not just inside but from the outside this morning 🥰 My clothes are barely fitting over my belly anymore. If you look close my lips are blue from my lunch of left over surprise ice cream from the husband last night 🤣 It’s a cluttered mess in here but that’s okay. Have felt little tiny taps from around 16 weeks but they have been very sporadic.. I was feeling good, thinking because I felt movement early that the placenta might not be at the front this pregnancy. Last year, it was at the front and had got attached to my c section scar, this is called placenta accreta. It can be very dangerous, once I had given birth to little Daphne, around 4 hours after I had to go theatre and have the placenta manually removed. I had to sign a form to say that if they couldn’t remove it I might have to have my whole uterus removed. I was absolutely petrified that not only have I just lost my baby, I might lose my uterus and will never be able to have anymore children ever again. I’ve only been feeling small little taps and rolls, and it was 8 years ago since I had my son so I can’t remember what his movements were like. Almost 20 weeks of growing you my sweet one 🌿 This has been such a good week so far. We had our anatomy scan today and baby girl did not want to uncurl herself from her nice little nap! We did however get to see her take a nice big stretch which is when we found out she is in the 80th percentile for her length, which means our baby is going to be long. We kind of figured since Fish is 6’2 and I’m almost 5’11. Baby is healthy and growing perfectly! We also had our first Hypnobirthing class this week. I highly recommend @ezbirth birthing class. We’ve only had one class but I can already feel myself becoming more empowered and excited to give birth, which I would have not said that two weeks ago. I’m in pure pregnancy bliss right now and can’t wait till we get to meet our baby girl Earth side 🥰 #5monthspregnant

“Making room” When I was little my mom and I would always say a prayer before I was tucked into bed. We would say together “now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep; If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen.” Still to this day, I say my prayer 🙏🏻 Truthfully, I’ve never been one to talk about my faith journey, but it has made a huge impact on my life within the last year in a half. I’ve always been one to believe, but I honestly don’t think I believed in Him with my whole heart. Letting go of my past, letting go of the things that no longer serve(d) me was space that was once filled with negative relationships, negative feelings, and has now allowed me to open the door, and let in what was waiting ALL along. That would be our precious little miracle who is due in December 👶🏻 I was struggling so bad with the two losses, and I didn’t know where to turn too for the longest time. Yes, I did my workouts which helped tremendously, but I needed more. I needed to be saved. It all started when I dove deep into reading Empty out the Negative, by Joel Osteen. Though every single page touched my heart, this is what stuck out to me- “Beauty for ashes, new beginnings, new opportunities, and new friendships. He’s en route with those good things. The problem is, if you’re holding on to the old, there no place for him to deliver it. I wonder how many things are en route right now. The angel is standing by with your joy, peace, confidence, creativity, but there’s no room.. because we’re not releasing the toxins- the anger, the bitterness, the jealousy, the worry- He can’t deliver those good things. When you make room, God promises He will fill your life with good things.” I did just that. I emptied my mind, heart, and soul of ALL the toxins. I believed in everything now whole heartedly. I did my part. So did He. He kept his promise, and we now have SO much to look forward too 🤍🥺

Quando ho iniziato Pilates ero al mio 4 mese di Gravidanza. Mai fatto seriamente prima perché molto scettica, io abituata al cardio funesto non pensavo potesse essere la disciplina adatta a me … lo guardavo con diffidenza…troppo blando e tranquillo per i miei gusti pensavo! Eppure mi sbagliavo di grosso!!! Il Pilates ti entra dentro con i suoi modi gentili ma decisi, ti fa fare pace con corpo e respiro, ti rende consapevole di ogni movimento e ti cambia sotto ogni aspetto. Non mi sono mai sentita così bene in vita mia nemmeno quando non ero incinta e lo dico davvero! I’m NOT motivated... I’m determined. A healthy momma is a strong momma! My little bubs is already moving at a speed of 100, or he’s not moving at all and what I can assume means he’s sleeping. There’s no in between. 😂 Luke said it the other day, this little guy is going to be all or nothing when he gets here and I am determined to be able to keep up with him for years to come. Almost half way and grateful for every mile I can still run. Every person is different, yeah, but every pregnancy is too. Be kind to yourself. I wasn’t able to continue running with Athens, I was constantly sick, and even though this pregnancy is different and I’m not sick 24/7 and I can still run, I honestly don’t love being pregnant. I’m so so grateful for this healthy baby, and for opportunity to grow and bring this little person into the world, but I still don’t enjoy pregnancy. I send hugs to all those wishful mamas out there who would do anything to be in my shoes. I can not believe I am practically half way through my pregnancy already! I am starting to get more prepared and get some things ready for baby’s arrival now. 🤰🏼 Wow there is so much to buy and learn about! Being a first time mum is exciting but daunting at the same time! This is the first of the baby collection.. the Maxi Cosi Iora bedside crib. I saw @homewithshan recommend this on her YouTube! I am loving it so far and it has great storage underneath too🥰I am a sucker for smart storage! It was so easy to put together, took me about 15 minutes, which was a dream ✨ I am slowly starting to get things ordered and planning my little nursery corner. Which will be revealed in the next few weeks! Also how adorable are these bears 🐰🐘

Yesterday I asked Jonny to take a photo of me. I am finally feeling pregnant and I wanted to capture it. I feel like Poppy is popping a little bit. So I have a bit of a bump now instead of just looking like I've had a large meal. Also I have FINALLY found a couple of pairs of jeans that I love from @ripematernity which is making me feel so much better about myself. I know it sounds silly but I am a jeans and T-shirt girl so having jeans back as an option makes me feel a bit more myself. But I made a mistake, I asked Jonny to take the photo... I tried on two pairs in medium and they were both perfect straight away. Didn't have to try on anymore. That never happens to me when jeans shopping (as I have curves), let alone while pregnant. So comfortable, so stylish. Love!!! I actually now also want a third pair of the Rebel black jeggings ❤️ AND they have a denim deal of buy two denim pieces get 50% off the second.

I always thought having a bump would be fun.. Well.. It's getting there 😂🤭 at first I was embarrassed because nothing fit me, I dressed like a hobo and I wasn't obviously pregnant enough for baggy clothes to look like they had a purpose 🥺😂😂 BUT NOW, tadaaa.. I'm slowly learning how to dress myself again.. And how to feel confident 🤩.. Handling the extra weight on my feet is proving to be a challenge and I'm only halfway 😳.. Sunday workout with bump 💙 Working out pregnant is hard. Everything feels heavy. My body doesn’t move like it used to. Tiredness is real. But working out still makes me happy. TBH... I’ve had quite a bit of anxiety around this pregnancy. I just keep thinking about the miscarriages, and unfortunately it has affected my excitement for this little miracle inside me. I have had spurts of excitement here and there, but it was always followed my the thought of losing another pregnancy. I wondered if my body could still do this, especially because of my “advanced gestational age.” . But today, I had my 20 week anatomy scan, and I saw all her little body parts and her heart beating strong, and I feel like my excitement is finally settling in. I really hope it’s here to stay, because with all the anxiety of what’s happening in our world these days, I just can’t let myself have more. . . So, right now, I am deciding that I am happy, and that I won’t let the anxiety overshadow that. I am so grateful for this little rainbow 🌈 baby inside me, and I cannot wait to meet her! . . After two long years and lots of heartache, we are so excited to finally announce our baby is on the way! Our triple rainbow baby is nothing short of a miracle. I absolutely could not have gotten through this time without my amazing supportive husband, @tom__whalen He has always held me when I needed to cry, given me space when I needed it, given me my shots when I panicked trying to do it myself, and listened to me vent about how unfair life can be. He has been there for all of the ups and downs this journey to parenthood has brought. This baby is going to be surrounded by so much love from our families and friends here on earth, and looked over by his 3 siblings in heaven.
