This evening, my son had a flag football game and he played exceptionally well! He made some impressive catches as well as scoring the winning touchdown. We promised him dinner of his choice if he scored a touchdown, and he picked Freddy’s. Without hesitation, we treated him to the BIG bacon and cheese double steak burger with fries, and let me tell ya, that little man can EAT. Life Lately... I tried jumping back into a life with unrealistic expectations that did not meet reality. Stressed is an understatement of how I felt for the past couple weeks. This is not new to me as I felt the need to go full steam ahead into a "normal" routine after having each of my babes while trying to recover. I realized this last weekend, how much I needed to step on the brakes and downshift into third gear for awhile. In order to adjust to having four little ones and to allow myself to enjoy the small progresses I am making. The weight on my shoulders has lifted allowing my mind and body to breathe. After two and half years of back to back pregnancies, I need to give myself grace as I slowly find myself again! #life #postpartum #momoffour #slowingdown

Id tell her to get out of the house and start finding some mom friends. Motherhood feels so much less isolating when you can go through it with someone who understands. It might surprise you that the people you thought would be there aren’t, but there’s people out there that will become your village. On your bad days, use your village. It might just take texting your new mom friends to pull you out of your hardest days 💜 I would also tell her that each stage is temporary. So when you feel like you are in the trenches- so tired, so isolated, so overwhelmed, so many body changes, just know that it will eventually get better over time and to give yourself and your body grace. Simple day of eating as a homeschooling mom. Breakfast - oatmeal topped with unsweetened, dairy free yogurt, pure maple syrup, Ceylon cinnamon, walnuts, sliced banana and fresh berries. I’ve never put yogurt on my oatmeal before but it’s actually super yummy! For a snack I ate dried mangoes Late lunch/early dinner - veggie noodle soup Sauté- 1 onion, 5-10 carrots, 5 celery sticks Once tender add about 7 cloves minced garlic, 1 TBS Italian seasoning, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp oregano, 1 tsp sage, 2 bay leaves Let cook about 1 min then add 8 cups of veggie broth and 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil and add gluten free noodles. Turn down heat and let simmer until noodles are cooked through, enjoy! What time do your kids wake up and go to bed? Ever since I had my first, we created a bedtime routine that allowed my husband and I to have a more productive evening. Over the years I’ve found out that it doesn’t matter if your kid goes to bed at 7pm or 10pm, they’re still going to wake up at the same time in the morning.
