Week 5 Progress for Diamonds In The Ruff Event Wow!! I'm so close to being finished! I want more hours in the day and less life responsibilities. 😂 Truly, this one has been fun! This is an older DAC kit and I can tell it by the drills. It is amazing how much DAC has worked on continuously improving their product. I've been diamond painting (and getting DAC kits) longer than when this kit was released, so seeing the evolution of DAC has been fascinating. Today I have spent some time finishing off the mounting of my Silk Shaded Kingfisher. I completed the herringbone stitching around the outside; this I found particularly tricky due to the number of layers of fabric I had to stitch through to get to the calico attached to the mount-board. I then added the backing fabric, which ‘holds’ everything together and neatens it all up (as you can see from my little sample (4th picture) it dissent look exactly neat when the Herringbone is finished). I am going to leave everything to rest for a few days and then check to see if the backing fabric is tight enough. Once it is, I will add my name and, fill in the paper-work and take a trip to Hampton Court Palace to hand it in.
