This week felt extra long somehow 😩 Maybe because it was extra much thinking due to bookings for upcoming vacation 🤔 Atmosphere: 🍩🍩🍩🍩 The restaurant opened 1922, and it had the nice classic, old vibe. High ceiling. It did not feel too closed even though no windows were available in the dining area. Service: 🍩🍩 It was nice when they took our jackets at the entrance. And that was about it. The service was chaotic the whole evening. Very long waiting time between the meals and it took 50 mintues (!) until we got our check after finishing our meal. Due to the delay, a lot of people were waiting outside the restaurant area. I think they were short on staff, as all of them stressed during the whole evening. They barely described the food and never asked if the food was ok. Food: 🍩🍩🍩 Before the food, sourdough bread and soured milk bread was served with butter and mushroom cream. The sourdough bread had chewy texture. The soured milk bread was more of sweeter kind. The butter tasted really fresh, reminding of whipped cream. The mushroom cream had really rich flavour of mushroom. Dinner week 3 course menu (395 SEK). *Cured salmon tartare with jerusalem artichoke soup. The soup, that was lukewarm was poured over the tartare. It felt superweird to eat this together at first. But both the tartare and the soup had very mild notes, that it was like eating cured salmon with creamy sauce that had tone of jerusalem artichoke. *Slow cooked beef cheeks, red wine sauce, smoked pork belly, pickled onion, dijonnaise and fried potatoes. Surprisingly bland. The pork belly, dijonnaise and pickled onion failed to give flavour to this dish. Maybe there was too little of them. Maybe other compartments were needed. Hey guys, just want to share a super easy meal idea. Beef cheeks and rice Mexican bowl. So easy whether you’re counting macros or not. I had the beef cheeks in the slow cooker doing there thing, then just added some lettuce, cucumber & corn to my rice then the beef cheeks! I use @mingleseasoning taco mix for the Mexican feel.
