Strawberry time is here with some family friendly events kicking off this weekend - I’ve got your lineup and thoughts from our first experience last year with these events! 🍓 Strawberry Jam - 4/26, 5-9pm - enjoy an evening of live music, vendors, food & drink, downtown merchants, and kid’s activities on Main Street (streets shut down) 🍓 Sprint & Stroll - 4/26 9am - 5k & fun run with similar after party vibes to the Jam the night before on Main Street 🍓 Strawberry Festival - 5/4 10-10pm - held at Walter Elisha park - rides, activities, vendors, food trucks, performances - a lot to do, experience & watch Now - for my thoughts. I’m a big fan of when Main Street shuts down to traffic - live music, drinks and stuff for the kids in a more quaint environment has my heart / I loved the Jam and Sprint & Stroll last year. The Strawberry Festival however was CROWDED- it was clear this was the premier event for the town! Tickets for rides did have us waiting in long lines - if you go, get there early. We paid for parking near downtown and walked to the park. It was fun but we lasted maybe 1.5 hours before calling it quits in the sunshine and crowds - knowing this with our three tinys - it’s not a repeat for us this year but hope to run into some of y’all Friday night at the jam!
