Chambertin Clos de Beze - er den bedst? Jeg ved det ikke, men vi fik forleden pæn indsigt i markens evner og personlighed. På trods af forskelligheder i årgang, markarbejde og kældertilgang var der klare fællestræk. Kropsstørrelsen og tanninen. 📈 Den har 18 ejere på 14,6 hektar, nabo til Chambertin mod syd og Mazys-Chambertin mod nord. Bedre vindbeskyttet af bakken end Chambertin. En af Bourgognes ældste navngivne marker, sandsynligvis fra 630erne! 🪨 Varierende kalkstenstyper og en enkelt plet med tung lerjord. Øverst den hårde næringsfattige premeaux-kalksten. 60-80 cm overjord. 🥰 Nogle af ejerne siger: Den favner alle de otte andre GC’ers udtryk i ét. Intet slår den af pinden, hverken varme eller koldvåde årgange. En dramatisk vin, en overdådig sfære og en af de vine, hvor man ved at finde svaret på dens hemmelighed aldrig opnår samme tilfredsstillelse som ved at SØGE svaret😬 Vi søgte… og søgte 😬 🍷 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟰: en smuk grobrian. Domain Drouhin-Laroze Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2010 으깬 산딸기 으깬 체리 앵두 자두 빻은 호두 땅콩기름 머스크 진흙 분내 송로버섯 새가죽 라벤더 갯벌의 진흙이 떠오르는 더스티한 질감위에 으깬 레드베리류와 빻은 호두, 볶은 땅콩 등의 기름지고 고소한 풍미가 강렬하게 퍼진다. 머스크와 간 트러플이 생생하게 느껴져 아주 적당히 숙성된 굿빈의 쥐샹이 떠오른다. 샹베르탱과 끌로드베제를 꽤 오래 고민했다. 아주 복합적이고 탄닌도 많은데 잘 녹아있고, 남성적이고 파워풀한 느낌에 샹베르탱 05빈 콜. 그동안 마셨던 베즈에 비해 탄탄한 느낌이었는데 시간이 지날수록 야한 느낌으로 변모하고 꽃 향도 어마어마하게난다. 베즈는 신이야.

1983 Clair Dau Chambertin Clos de Beze How lucky to be able to taste wines of Clair Dau again! Tasted blind. Somehow it rang a bell being 83 Clair-Dau, but different from the Clos St Jacques. This is deeper, bit riper with noticeable tannins. Still Gevrey in style. Guessed Grand Cru. It is fading but still very lovable with savoury farmyard, dry flowers, sour cherry, ripe red fruits notes. Я пил их вина миллезимов с 1930-го по 2021-й, и процент удовольствия всегда был наивысший! В разное время потрясли : - Шамбертэн 1972, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1997 (мой самый первый Шамбертэн), 1999, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2018, - Кло Сен Жак 1935 (!), 1978, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2009, 2015, 2018, - Кло де Без 1985, 2013, - Рушотт 2011, 2013, 2017 - Шарм 1990, 2009, 2010, 2015 … - Кло де ла Рош 1985, 1990, 2010 … Сравнительно недавно увидел, как вино Руссо окрестили - «каплями Бога» в одноименном поп-фильме о вине. The only thing better than getting to drink my birth year (1982) Chateau Palmer is doing it with a great group of friends. Not going to lie, I was a bit (a lot) worried about the condition of the Palmer but I needn’t have been. It was fantastic. Leather, cigar box, potting soil and just enough fruit remaining to tie the whole thing together. I was in my happy place. Getting to surround it with other great bottles made for a wine night that doesn’t come along very often. Highlight of my week - 4 beautifully drinking wines for dinner. 1. Krug Rose - perfect aperitif to start the evening 2. Leflaive Pucelles 2003 - Pucelles is probably my favourite premier cru of Leflaive, much prefer it to the Folatieres. Would probably place it very close to the Leflaive Grand Crus. Beautiful wine 3. Rousseau Clos de Beze 2003 - while 2003 may not necessarily be the best vintage, Rousseau Clos de Beze is outstanding and possibly 1 of my favourite wines from Burgundy. Seduction, silky and so aromatic. On cloud 9 after drinking this. 4. Grande serata all'insegna della passione e della Borgogna e anche della bolla che sgrassa 😝 Pierre ha letteralmente asfaltato tutti scalando la classifica con una 2020 da terremoto in quel di LA CROIX sulla collinetta del Corton, un vino che oltre a parlare a occhio chiusi del suo stile parla di profondità, eleganza, spezia e agrume fusi per un sorso di estrema stratificazione ed energia allo stesso tempo. Penso a lui e penso all'esaltazione dello Chardonnay senza compromessi. @domainepierregirardin Dopo di lui per me c'è stato il Clos de Beze. Setoso, leggero nella trama, Borgognone nell'osso ma lungo, profondo, centrale, speziato, legnetto dolce come da prassi del manico Clair ma con un evoluzione nell'arco della cena che lo ha alleggerito dopo le 2 ore e questo c'è da dirlo. Dirk Niepoort has the oenology on this boutique level wine of which only 700 bottles were made 😔 .. the 'Sublime' is a field blend of local White varietals, from an extremely old vineyard where the vines are more than 90 years old.. vinified completely without oak, showed delicate floral notes, white fruit and fresh citrus notes.. the wine stood out for its elegance, minerality and wild energy, excellent freshness and acidity.. with relatively low alcohol showed fantastic texture on the palate, plus a subtle spiciness and smokiness.. tremendous White.. world-class! Small chicken pies | 'Alheira' | Eggs & Potato Burgundy ❤ was next.. Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru.. Domaine Bart 2018.. made with 40% whole bunch vinification and 50% new wood, displayed an exuberantly spicy nose combining notes of plum, dark currant, red cherry, violets and earthy tones.. on the palate the quality of the fruit all round was super sensual, really fine and exceptionally long.. there was terrific verve to the well delineated and seductively textured flavours that exhibited very fine length.. tannins at the end brought a little youthful bitterness, yet the mineral streak that runned throughout the wine gave it a good sense of balance and provided a refreshing finale.. so good.. 🍷Domaine Perrot-Minot Morey-Saint-Denis 1er cru La Riotte 2018 On the nose, chalky mineral, black cherry, herbs and dust. On the palate, tannins are quite tight than expected, with good mineral and acidity. I think this bottle should be cellared for additional several years. Domaine Perrot-Minot is a wine estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the northern Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or. The estate can trace its history back to the middle of the 19th century when it was founded by the union of the Sigaut and Morizot families. Their descendant Marie-France Merme married Henri Perrot-Minot, giving the domaine its current name. Christophe Perrot-Minot joined the domaine in 1993 and has since taken over as winemaker. The estate now represents 13 hectares of vines spread over the largest terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Perrot-Minot holds 0.5 ha of La Riotte which is located on a stony and marly soil allowing deep rooting. The highly seductive “Clos des Argillières” 2010 was elected WOTN by the majority of the votes. Savory, sour and juicy. Pure and elegantly refreshing. Crunchy acidity, slightly volatile. This comes from a 0.69ha plot and vines with average 65 years old. So I guess very low yields. In recent vintages the style of Prieuré-Roch is getting more serious and profound. More extracted but still very focused. A small celebratory dinner featuring the wines of @domaine_armand_rousseau. We tasted 5 vintages of #closstjacques (03, 05, 06, 08, 09) #closdebeze (90, 05, 06, 08, 09) & #chambertin (02, 05 06, 08 [ck], 09) #Rousseau lived up to its reputation as among the world's top producers. Here are some thoughts: (1) Of the 3 vineyards, CSJ was the most rustic, Beze the most polished & Chambertin the most powerful. (Please note that @jaspermorris.insideburgundy says that Beze could be up to 1% ABV higher than Chambertin for Rousseau in the same vintage.) (2) the 05s, which have been brutally shut down for years, were open for business, had spectacular concentration & depth, and will live up to their promise as generational wines.There was so much material!(The 05 Chambertin was my WOTN.) They are just entering their drinking window. Wow, wow & wow. (3) We loved the 08s, which were balanced, perfumed, refreshing & delicious. @nishaaher had the 08 Beze as her WOTN. They will continue to get better. Watch out for 08; it is a sleeper vintage; (4) They all had beautiful fruit (dark red), but fruit was only one aspect of these wines. There was so much going on. Fragrant & savory, fleshly & silky, powerful & elegant, meaty & vibrant. Normal wine descriptors are not applicable or appropriate. They were magical. Every bottle we tasted was beautiful and could be a focus of a dinner. It was among the most special tastings we have done. @debbielipoff did a fantastic sit down, very #French dinner featuring duck, which was the perfect match. Great night, cheers,

Des noms qui font rêver… 37 villages et 80km de découverte ! Arrêt obligatoire à chaque fois devant un clos emblématique, le chambertin Clos de Bèze proche de Gevrey-Chambertin. Cette fameuse maison dans les vignes, je l’ai photographiée des dizaines de fois ! Niveau végétation, pas grand chose, certains domaines ont taillé la vigne, d’autres non, et certaines parcelles sont labourées. It mixes pristine, primary fruit such as blueberries, dark cherries, and raspberries, scented by citrus oil, Assam tea, cayenne pepper, dry autumn leaf, dry forest, cep mushrooms, burned orange peel, and rich mineral soil. The palate is even better, structured and dense, with a lovely creamy and dense structure perfectly refreshed by flintiness and sappiness, offering plenty of lift and pull, especially in the middle and back palate, creating a world-class, long, broad, and effortless length.
