Ripe Black cherry, dark plum flesh, very juicy, medium tanin, medium acidity, hogh alcohol, velvety texture definitely full bodied with flavor-wrapped finish towards the end of the palate. . ⭐️ My wife made these amazing pan fried cauliflower steaks seasoned with smoked paprika and garlic butter, and topped with fresh chimichurri on a bed of lemony puréed cannellini beans. Meatless, yet truly satisfying and very delicious. . This dish seemed to me a little like a white bean cassoulet which is typically paired with a Malbec-heavy Cahors red. I chose an Alexander Valley Malbec from family winery Hafner and I must say that the pairing was spot on. The lemony beans and the smoked paprika worked perfectly with the wine. . When the bad voice is ruling my good voice I try to be active by going to the gym or make a walk in the forest. Day 3 Friday and finished with @turkeyflat . It has been awhile since I’ve been back to the Barossa so I was certainly excited to return to the home of Australian Shiraz. With the some of the oldest vines in the Barossa and new-ish winemaker James Adam, the vineyard is certainly going from strength to strength. Their iconic (and unbiased favourite of mine) Grenache Rose has already picked up Best Rose of Show at the “Royal Melbourne Wine Awards 2023” and “Best Rose of Show Barossa Wine Show 2023” a true testament to James. Also can’t forget the Estate Grenache also taking home Best Grenache at the “Royal Queensland Wine Awards 2023”. The Nuits St George from @domaine_henri_gouges was deeper in colour than most Pinot’s you’ll come across. Deep concentration of black cherry and black plum with a hint earth, nutmeg and cinnamon. Long life ahead of this The @picardy_wines Tete de Cuvee is their top tier range made in the Burgundy style. More typical Pinot notes of cherry, cranberry and raspberry, but this shows a bit more smoke and char from the wood to start, but blew off after some time decanting.
