Happy Medal Monday!! 💜 💚 Still in complete disbelief that I did the Dopey Challenge AND got a PR for the marathon! Coming into this weekend I was terrified as I was still in the ortho boot but somehow I finished 5 minutes faster and with a smile on my face!! I have so many pictures to share and will proudly be sharing all these medals after all the work and hours that went into training these last 30 weeks!
4 parks, 4 days, 4 races and 48.6 miles, this girl is officially DOPEY!! This weekend was extremely hard but amazing at the same time! My training definitely didn’t go as planned, especially this last month but I am so proud of myself for finishing 48.6 miles with a smile on my face!! I still can’t believe I finished and I even got a 5 minute PR from last years marathon! I have no idea how it happened but I’m so happy about it and still in shock! . A huge thanks to everyone who donated to @kellsieshopefoundation , being able to run for a charity made this weekend even more meaningful! @runfitmama , thank you for creating such a helpful training program and offering so much support! . Thank you @lexir.jpeg for coming out to support me and handing me the most amazing cocktail at mile 25! And thank you to the random guest who handed me rosé, getting two drinks at mile 25 was AMAZING! . And now an even bigger thanks to my family! Thank you for flying down and supporting me this weekend and watching me during the half and full! Having my own cheer squad helped motivate me more than you know! Thanks for waking up super early these past 2 days and watching me run in this rainy weather! Love you guys! . Lots more pictures to come!
Todays 13.1 may have looked different due to the weather but you better believe I got all 13.1 done!! Am I sad 6 of the miles were on my own for my first Dopey? Yes, but I’m proud I finished the miles! 22.4 miles completed so far! Tomorrow’s the big day, 26.2 to finish and I’ll officially be Dopey! . A huge thanks to my family for coming to watch the modified half! Another big thanks to all the cast members and guests at Pop Century and Art of Animation for cheering us on as we finished the last 6!

This weekend was simulation number 3 for Run Fit Fab Dopey training! Ran 6 miles yesterday and 16 today! It was tough but felt amazing to complete it! This past week was an emotionally draining week 💙🤍. It definitely affected my preparations leading up to these runs as the anxiety of watching and reading hundreds of stories made it hard to focus on myself. With one step in front of the other I finished 16 miles on a beautiful 75 degree day. 💜 💚 80 days until Dopey!

The In Summer program with @runfitmama has challenged me in the best way possible! Working out 5-6 days a week and adding in cross training is challenging but exactly what I needed! While the weather in Orlando has been brutal this summer the strength training has definitely helped improve my endurance for running days! The heat got me good today but I finished my run with a smile on my face because I’m proud of the progress I’ve made this summer! I’m trying not to focus on my pace right now because I know it will change once it cools down!
