🩵 WHOOSH 🩷 Are you a Disney pin collector? I am holding back so hard because once I start I know I won’t be able to stop! This was the first pin I bought after coming back to Disney as an adult when Nate and I started going. The teacups are our thing so I knew I couldn’t put it off since I would totally regret not buying this one. I’ve bought a couple here and there, but nothing too crazy. What’s your favorite pin you own? 📍 Always make sure you bring some lower-class pins for trading. If you trade at an official Disney pin trading location you can swap for anything you want! This is great, especially if you have some not great ones or duplicates you don’t want to keep. Keep an eye out and scope the area for young kids who have just recently visited a pin trading location: some times they make silly trading decisions and that could work in your favor! 💠 Something that a cast member told me on my first visit when I was 10 was to look for pins with discrepancies or flukes i.e. wrong color somewhere, swayed lines, ones that look a little different as these will sometimes gain value or be a cool collectors item in the future. Disney tip: stack the Genie+ rides and go at 6pm! It was hot today— 91degrees. We hung by the pool. Had a wonderful hot pot dinner at UandMe Korean then headed to MK. I had been stacking rides since park open . We started at Big Thunder and ended with Space Mountain. 10 rides total in 5 hours and a whole lotta walking. I’m not a fan of using bar soap when washing my hands. I like my good ole liquid pump soap. Disney doesn’t offer that - see the soap in a box on the counter? So I pack my own and bring it from home and have it for the length of my stay and usually toss it when I leave. It’s $.99 well spent in my eyes. After hours events and Parties can be so much fun! But they are exhausting! Look at my kiddos sweet exhausted little face during the MNSSHP! Some tips to help our kiddos make it through a long night! 1) Don’t do another park day on the day of your after hours event! Spend time at your resort, have a pool day, have a nice character meal outside of a park, etc. Just make sure to maximize taking it slow and relaxation! 2) Nap! My kiddo is 7 and naps are a thing of the past but make them at least lay down in your room for a little while. He fought a nap for 5 minutes then passed out! 3) Don’t try to do it all. You can’t anyway, but if you’re stressing yourself out running to everything it’s going to tired them (and you) out even more! You don't have to use a travel agent but there are multiple benefits to using one! 1. I will monitor deals that Disney releases and apply them to your vacation even after you have booked! I recently did this for the Disney Visa deal that released and saved a client $1,000 on their future booking. It was easy and hassle free savings for my client that I was happy to add for them. 2. For Walt Disney World advanced dining reservations open 60 days early at 6 AM EST - that's 5 am for us in the central time area! I am happy to wake up and book the dining reservations you want so you can focus on your beauty sleep. 3. Doing Disney takes a lot of research. I have already done the research and am happy to teach you all the tricks and tips to using Genie+ and optimizing your park time. 🪼 The Seas with Nemo and Friends 🪼 Do you like this ride? First off, I absolutely hate this queue! It is WAY too dark and I swear I’m gonna fall every time I walk into this building. The ride? It’s okay. I enjoy doing it every now and then especially when I need a good sit. It’s similar to The Little Mermaid but worse. I definitely wish this one had more animatronics and less screens. I do love the end though! I think it’s so cool that the ride uses actual aquariums as a backdrop. It almost makes up for the lack of animatronics…almost. The jellyfish are cold though. 🐬 Despite my lukewarm feelings about the ride, I do love exploring the aquariums, so even if you are not going to do the ride you definitely still need to check out all the sea creatures. You can find manatees, dolphins, sharks and so many different kinds of fish inside this building, and it is 100% worth exploring. This is also the building where you will find Turtle Talk with Crush, a super fun interactive experience! If you have little ones, they will love it. 🐋 The Reef restaurant is also located in this building where you can dine up close and personal with many of the fish. We have not eaten here so I can’t tell you if it’s worth it or not, but it looks like a pretty cool experience! #disneymomTips- What to do in Long lines 👑Play with Disney Bubble Makers/Wands- be careful with these...while they are super fun to play with, sometimes they can annoy the people around you. Work on puzzle books or drawing tablets- connect the dots, word searches, etc 🤪Take Silly Selfies- I love taking pictures with my girls at Disney. We put on our ears and a good smile and take family pictures and selfies with the ride decor. 🍿Much on Yummy Snacks- we used to always take time in lines to eat our lunch or have a snack break with the kids. Current policies do not permit eating in lines (since you cannot stay stationary) but a good idea to note for later. ❤️Play Fun Games- I spy, ABC’s, etc BONUS- Enjoy Interactive Queues- DIsney does an amazing job with interactive ques. You have just entered…The Twilight Zone. 🕰️ Are you a fan of The Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios? This ride is so nostalgic for me that I think I would be devastated if they re-themed it. (Especially since they’re already coming after Dinosaur!) Still, I do understand why someone would want an update. No matter what the theme, this ride is not for the feint of heart. Yet, even though this is a drop ride, it’s a pretty tame one. Even I can handle this one so you know it’s tolerable because I cannot do drops. I love the ups and downs. 🕸️ I love that this ride has different themes at different parks! I adore the Guardians of the Galaxies version at California Adventure and if ours had to go through a re-theme that would be my choice. However, my favorite was the tower of terror theme at Tokyo Disneysea. I loved the unique story and enjoyed the design so much. It’s similar to guardians but no screens as far as how it makes stops on different floors. The overall theme is a man who stole an African Relic, which turns out very badly for him. I loved the spooky aspect of the ride in Tokyo and the outer design is so cool! 🔮 All in all, now I just want to go to Hollywood Studios so I can ride this and then skip over to end my night with Fantasmic 😭 Tell me all your Tower of Terror feelings! 🩷 Also, while we’re on the subject, here’s a tip for if the park is not that busy: hit up this ride as close to the start of Fantasmic as you can as it’s so close to the entrance. Wait times will be short as people start to fill in for the show or head out of the park for the night. Run quickly over to the show after riding. 🦜🦚🦩 • What kinds of birds have you seen at Animal Kingdom? We spotted this Nicobar Pigeon on the path into the park just hanging out. Bird watching really sneaks up on you the older you get, but I’m not complaining as there are so many birds to spot while at Animal Kingdom. 🦜 Something bird related that you absolutely must do while you’re at Animal Kingdom is the Feathered Friends in Flight show. Enjoy an immersive bird experience that will entertain and delight you. This show is located at the back of the park toward the Yeti coaster. Be sure to check daily showtimes so you don’t miss this as it is a must-do show that both parents and kids will be able to enjoy together.
