Bread service at Sanaa, duck tagliatelle at Citrico's lounge, watermelon slushy (non-alcoholic) from Energy Bites, bacon and eggs from Steakhouse 71, goat cheese raviolo from California Grill, birria tacos from Rosa Mexicano, crab bisque from Ale & Compass lounge, spaghetti carbonara from Il Mulino, flaming saganaki from Wine Bar George, catfish and Steven's Manhattan from Paddlefish (where's the Old Bay?). We tried the mac n cheese bites, steak & eggs, biscuits & gravy, and potato bacon hash. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and the steak was SO tender.
We’ll definitely be back for brunch again!

House-made Hummus served with cucumber, olive oil, naan bread & chipotle. This is the perfect light dish to start with.
I was hesitant when my husband insisted on ordering this as I am someone who doesn’t love hummus, but I loved this! House-made hummus is just far superior than anything store bought, and I would absolutely order this again.

Was in Orlando for 10 days which included a conference. I conveniently still have a WDW pass, although it was so excessively hot and humid that resort hopping ruled. Bread service at Sanaa is always excellent, Citrico's Lounge is great to pop into for an app like duck tagliatelle with glass of wine, bacon & eggs app from Steakhouse 71 lounge is a delicious holdover from The Wave, goat cheese raviolo is back at California Grill, boxed lunch catering at the JW Marriott was surprisingly good including this pasta salad, saganaki from Wine Bar George which I would recommend splitting since it's a bit much for one, meatballs from Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar (dates and tuna tacos are also recommended), fried carnitas quesadilla at El Tenampa offsite with local friends, garlic shrimp at Ale & Compass lounge, and the best melty crunchy tasty grilled cheese I've had in ages at Ale & Compass in the restaurant. Plenty of beverages too, some client work and a very intense conference, couple of weekend safaris, finally got the last three songs on Guardians of the Galaxy (capping off with Disco Inferno), paid for TRON which is amazing but so short, lots of crazy heat and thunderstorms and two hours sitting on the tarmac at MCO when the airspace kept closing. Exhausted and was so fatigued (thanks, MS!) that I was afraid of having a relapse. Had an absolute blast celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at Universal Studios and Disney World last month.
Every time we go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter I’m just blown away by how immersive it is. Not to mention we actually met Molly from @mammoth_club. Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary and the Indiana Jones pop-up were fun new experiences.
The Grand Floridian is beautiful but the Polynesian is now my favorite Disney resort. I’m pretty sure @abby_babymomma fell asleep during the couples massage. We capped the week off with the most amazing meal of our lives. The Queen Victoria Room at Victoria & Albert’s was sublime and I am still dreaming about that food…and may have turned into a wine snob 🤷♂️

Fun facts that is:). Did you know this little tidbit? Believe it or not it is TRUE!
What we today call Disney Springs was actually once called ‘Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village’ and it opened in 1975; just a few years after WDW’s MAgic Kingdom opened. EPCOT didn’t open until 1982.
Disney Springs is today home to shopping, World class dining, entertainment and more; but it began much differently. Did you know that the original area had a wine cellar (think like the #winebargeorge of today) and a tobacco store (think like the #sosafamilycigars of today). What we think of as the Marketplace area was the only part that existed and was modeled after a New England town (no wonder I love it so).
With the addition of shops and entertainment the area has undergone many name changes:
1. Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village
2. Walt Disney World Village
3. Disney Village Marketplace
4. Downtown Disney (this will be forever what I call it💁🏼♀️)
5. Disney Springs

Wine Bar Wednesday. @winebargeorge has always been a favorite of mine - great atmosphere, food, staff - so I was super excited to discover they have a hot dog!
@thetimtracker and I sampled this during our recent trip to Disney Springs for #nationalhotdogday and were blown away by the quality (since it’s actually a kids’ menu item).
Sometimes a simple plain dog is all I want, and this could be the best I’ve had on Disney property. The quality of the meat is exceptional, you can tell real care was put into the flavor, and the choice to grill it adds a nice smokiness. The bun is perfect too. It’s actually more like a sandwich roll, but lighter so it doesn’t dominate each bite.
The whole package is so solid, fuss-free food but elevated flavors. Let’s not forget the fries too, they’re incredible. I always recommend this restaurant to people, but here’s one more reason to check it out during your next trip!
