Best Memories of 2023 (part 1!) Over Christmas Dinner we always talk about our best memories of the last year and these were so hard to narrow down! Here are some of our favourites: 1 - Watching the Geysir in Iceland erupt every few minutes - truly spectacular. 2 - Hiking an Ice Cave in Iceland - it was such a special thing to be able to do. 3 - Getting to experience the @bluelagoonis in Iceland. 4 - Having our niece (and my sister) come with us to Walt Disney World. It was our niece’s first time and being able to see the magic through her eyes for the first time was brilliant! What is Disney Vacation Club (DVC)? DVC is a points-based membership program that allows you to book reservations in deluxe Disney hotels (a bit like a time-share but Disney-fied!) Why do I love DVC? I've always loved Disney, and when I first heard about DVC, I was intrigued to find out more! The idea of being able to stay in deluxe Disney accommodations at a fraction of the cost of traditional hotel rooms was so exciting to discover 🏨 When purchasing DVC points, you are simply buying points to book accommodation. Often though, DVC members have access to other benefits too. These include early park admission, discounted dining and merchandise and access to DVC special events. How does it work? In simple terms, you purchase a certain number of Vacation Points at a home resort (ours is Riviera) and then use them to book your accommodation. Points for resort, room type and time of year vary but can be found on the DVC points charts online. If you're a Disney fan who loves to travel to WDW often, I highly recommend checking out DVC. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to take our child to Disney as often as we do. She’s 4 and has been to WDW 4 times. It humbles me to remember I hadn’t even been there once until I was 8. Each visit is different and magical in its own way. Happy Birthday to @disneyaulani Aulani opened 12 years ago today and we absolutely loved our first stay there earlier this month.
