The Ants and the Grasshopper is a short film visually developed and produced by Buzzco for Between the Lions. The story, originally from Aesop’s Fables, is about a grasshopper who only dances and sings throughout the year and ends up having no food during the winter. The ant couple offers her meals and she offers her singing and dancing in return! It is very important to think ahead or prepare in advance, like what the ants are doing, gathering food for the winter. I am always on the ants’ side in terms of planning and considering things in future. However, it’s also a significant part of life to relax and enjoy the moment. Those people might be people who are not so perfectionist about their career or life, but they tend to live at the moment and bring joy. The fourth storybook series for Between the Lions —- Red Parka Mary! It is about an unexpected friendship between a grandma and a child. The kid gives her a red parka as a Chirismas gift and she offers all her love in return. It’s very interesting that we usually make presumptions when we see something for the first time. Mostly we tend to stay with those who are similar to us, but a grandma and a boy could possibly share the least commonalities. Looking at this idea from a broader perspective, I think it takes lots of effort to create an inclusive environment. Diversity is expensive, and humans need to be educated to be capable of understanding it. We get scared easily of anything unknown. I got hungry while watching it 🤣 Food has always been a universal topic across countries, and every culture has their unique way for cooking too. In Mandarin, we have very specific verbs for different ways of cooking. The English word ‘fry’ can refer to several verbs in Mandarin, ‘炸’ is the ‘fry’ for fried chicken; ‘炒‘ is the ‘fry’ for fried rice; ‘煎’ is the ‘fry’ for fried egg. As I also noticed, food from the south is usually more abundant and intense in terms of flavor, where spices are prominently used. When it comes to education, I think love and how to express love is a very crucial part, but somehow people think it’s too abstract or embarrassing to talk about. However, humans are not born to learn techniques or get a job. Of course, they are important things that pay the bill, but they cannot make you a happy person. There are so many people who misunderstand the differences between manipulation and love, so they would only love you if you follow their expectations. But that’s not true. The story is mainly about a boy who finally conquered his fear of dogs and made a new friend. I understand that we as humans are always afraid of something, and it’s difficult to overcome the fear once it’s developed. Sometimes it’s not about any physical creature or object but things like darkness, height, or even just being embarrassed! However, as for kids, they are much more open minded than adults. It’s easy for them to be afraid of something, just as it is easy not to. An absolute MASTERCLASS in documentary storytelling. Pushing the boundaries of style, tone, recon, GFX yet again! I finally watched "12th Fail" movie and in my opinion, it is one of the best films based on a true story. I can now understand why the characters in it were praised so much! But I remember seeing people biased in their comments regarding certain characters when the film was released. While certain audience was only praising Shraddha for Manoj's success, other set of audience had the opinion that characters other than Shraddha deserved the real credit for Manoj's success. I think all the people close to Manoj deserved equal credit for his success as they all were very supportive of him in their own ways. But what was most important in his success was his integrity and zeal to achieve his goal which made it all possible for him. As far as Shraddha is concerned, she alone was definitely not responsible for his success. But she did play the role of an ideal girlfriend who was very supportive of him. She was one of the most important people in his life who kept him motivated for studying and who wanted to be there for him no matter the result he was going to have. I think it takes a high degree of loyalty and integrity in a person's character to stand by someone like that when it comes to love and such people are definitely praiseworthy in today's world. So, I think people criticizing Shraddha had either not watched the film or were very biased towards her due to their own personal reasons. Every supporting character in the film is praiseworthy to some degree despite any of the minor mistakes they might have made. Stayed one of the nights at the White Swan, which was like a dream, tilted room, ancient polished wood, English breakfast tourist. With WS the words always manage to light the lights & push at edges of my brain even if I know what’s coming, or if it’s high school kids stating lines, whatever. The play’s the thing. Intrigued by these little booklets, I thought I would try and find out a bit more about them. They were issued by Gaumont-British Instructional (a subsidiary of Gaumont-Pictures) to accompany the company’s educational films for schoolchildren in the 1930’s and 1940’s. World War I isn’t always studied as much as World War II, but this museum is a great way to educate yourself on a major point in U.S. history. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, it’s been designated by the government as the country’s official WWI museum. You’ll start by following the 265-foot tower to the main building. From there, you’ll walk across a glass bridge that covers 9,000 red poppies symbolizing the 9,000,000 lives lost during the war. Features of the museum include photos, videos, maps, flags, letters and artifacts ranging from rusted guns to old propaganda posters. There’s a sound booth for audio recordings; there are two theaters that run educational films and reels. There’s also a preserved Renault FT tank and a 1918 Ford Model T ambulance. You don’t have to be a history buff to appreciate the National World War I Museum.
