I’m following the dance of these mosaics on the ground until I no longer know the way. Until melancholy is only a Greek word in a dictionary. Until I‘ve forgotten all I knew, until I‘m able to see wonders again (like the still-warm eggshell that landed right in front of my feet one morning)🪺 The air is never more fragrant, never sweeter than when rain & rainbows court the sun. My “prayer flag” banner fell apart by the time spring came, just as I hoped it would. The fabric faded and became so soft after months of exposure to the elements. Rainwater and snow transforms. One time we found a baby black bird who fell out of its nest and dad brought it inside our house. We kept it in our popsicle stick house that we were currently building, turning it into a makeshift nest. . This has been a very blessed morning!! Patience… I have a lot of them when it’s the faith in The Divine! We built a better Lotus Pond couple of months ago. I germinated the Lotus seeds and let them grow in a bucket. Transferred them after a month and a half. Immediately the leaves began to become huge. They stood out of the water!! ON RAM NAVAMI morning I noticed this tiny lotus bud that sprang up ! THIS MORNING IT BLOOMED! What a perfectly positive sign! It happened on a Friday! The Goddesses were all pleased! Lakshmi Thayar has blessed my home. Shakti is in full force!! I was too excited to do much work!! Called all my near and dear on video to see this! Compost of Newborns - on display from 19 April to 17 Mai 2024 @kunst.klima Compost of Newborns is a sci-fi experiment about becoming the next generation of multispecies whose parents descent from the human and the more-than-human world of fungi, wood, and car technology. Performance Part During the opening i turn into a bio laboratory shaman. Fungus Ganoderma applanatum is my companion species and had just emerged in three petri dishes in the form of her delicate body of mycelium. I prepare some wood from the maple tree trunk where Ganoderma applanatum appears in the form of her fruiting bodies. I also prepare the sticky black chunks of carbon that come from the combustion engine of a Daimler E-Class car. I ask the audience to contribute with some hair and i receive pieces of hair from persons of different color, age, and gender. When i open the petri dishes to add the wood, carbon and human hair to the fungal mycelium, i invite all microbes in the air to join in. Then, I hand over to the fungus to intertwine and inta-act in its own way for the rest of the exhibition period. Can the fungi deal with the toxic carbon? Does the fungi make a difference intertwining with the hair belonging to different humans? Will bacteria appear which had been living in the air of the art space? How will the body of the composed multispecies look like? 1/2 This is something from October 2010, I had been making stacks for a while after being originally inspired by Bill Dan and the few stacks that Goldsworthy had made. I couldn't fathom how Bill had balanced his stones, back then, so I pursued aesthetic design rather than balancing skills. They were still difficult to make, with much of the time spent looking for the right stones, a big part of the process, as doing so immerses your mind into the environment. I like symmetry, exploring natural processes and experimenting with new ideas and after being inspired by someone else (something I try to avoid these days as I want nature to be the only influence in my design style) as I was more back then, I often took a starting point and then explored solely what came to me over the proceeding months and weeks. What sometimes happens, or perhaps often, is the success found when experimenting and how the best results can happen the first time when intuition makes new creative connections in consciousness. It's happened quite a lot of times with new creative styles I fell into, that the first unthinking attempt at something produced the best results and attempts to recreate the same magic during the time afterwards, even years sometimes, have never quite hit the pinnacle of the first try. There's something I try to embrace about spontaneity and intuitive creation and so often that is where the magic emerges from, but it is like lightning in a bottle, I cannot grasp it or force it to happen, only try and create the right conditions for it to emerge. Although the collapsing stack or balance is very nearly an internet meme these days, a strong motif in the work of @GravityGlue and since copied by many, when I made this in 2010 it was an impromptu idea in spontaneity.
