有人勸我寫字 2 —— 王菲，關於你的歌（2/2） 因為王菲，我認識了張亞東、Adrian Chan、C.Y. Kong、The Cranberries、Cocteau Twins、中島美雪、竇靖童、竇唯及他的黑豹樂隊，知道了甚麼是夢幻流行 (Dream-Pop)及後龐克(Post-Punk)，繼而愛上。也甚至因為她知悉了許多鄧麗君名曲。有人形容王菲「歌曲風格跟本尊同樣自成一格」，難怪風格的轉型亦離不開心路變化。 「王菲」一詞經時代華麗洗禮，於流行文化及音樂風格上已變成一種綜合概念，形容一個人非常「王菲」幾乎很難描定具體特徵 —— 要說王菲只「叛逆」，王菲自未成年起便翻唱鄧麗君的經典作品，後來以「王靖雯」為藝名於香港出道，歌曲流於港式情歌，角色設定為緊抱愛情的悲情女主，唯一與市面不同的特徵幾乎只有唱腔夾雜甩不掉的鄉音；要說王菲的歌曲風格固定幾式，王菲自於美國回流後便不斷嘗鮮，除了以上提及的兩種，包括節奏藍調(R&B)、英倫搖滾、中式搖滾，甚至到歌壇生涯晚期，受信仰形響緣故，王菲不時以弦樂合奏班底形式演奏《般若波羅蜜多心經》等佛經，唱腔亦由空靈氣音換成實在，而且悽楚的風韻。 固然，有人形容某幾段時期奠定了「王菲之為王菲」，以外的都不算。我卻都聽，搜刮不曾聽過的都愛，並且認為那一樣才算愛。 我知道，我曾愛一個王菲，以為是整體。以為是。 時間軸拉至一九年後半，某天，我驚喜的發現在社群媒體有人宣佈消息：王菲要發新歌。消息一出，滿心歡喜。自她淡出樂壇，年計若發一歌可算驚為天人。我當晚靜靜的守候著，腦中便浮起專輯“coming home”的封面。 最終孵化的結果是《我和我的祖国》，為同名電影主題曲。記得翌日我與友人分享此傷感怪事，被她失語嘲笑。她並不了解那股激盪的心情，她喜歡的是張國榮，已逝的人事永遠無法被現實擊撞，永遠鑲鑽金光。我不能疏理那股情緒是否只是一種心理不平衡，畢竟堂堂一名北京女子熱愛祖國並頌揚那是一件再合理不過的事。只是那首歌總之沒有點進去，以後的歌也過眼雲煙，得到結論：「王菲而非那個王菲。」 差不多的情節，同樣落在我鍾愛的一隊港產樂隊At17，當年組合成員盧凱彤身故的新聞曝光，我才搜挖組合的專輯來聽。我對於At17的認識可說是愛得太遲，現在回想起來卻是不遲不早，畢竟沒有契機，我甚至不會得悉樂隊。 我明顯比較喜歡盧凱彤，率性短髮配紋身，掛著結他《荒蕪中起舞》，略帶沙啞的歌聲配上林二汶輕柔的音色控制，無論在商業或小眾的歌曲都絕配非常。又經歷一個個專輯的薰陶重溫，然後某天林二汶在社交媒體發佈歌曲《中華·頌》，即被翻揭出信奉邪教及性醜聞。 我們固然不清楚那些是否就是她《最後的信仰》的實體版本，我只是發現，對於一個人的幻滅是必然的。沒有任何一個生活在現實的人如此整全俐落得堅不可摧，最具想像性的人存在於距離之間，亦即當你把「他」塑造成「人物」而非「人」的看待。區間必須清晰。因此善意神化任何一個人，對他來說都注定一種殘酷及不公。 卻我依舊喜愛王菲，會一整排的閱讀她以往的歌，卻不再偏執自己強行對她任何作品都包容仁慈，將愛進行到底，無論是口味緣故抑或其他因素。或許確認，王菲而非那個王菲，At17也不能再復刻，才得以無限細味手上某幾張唱片。 14.04.24 ☁️ #詩 #新詩 #現代詩 #現代文學 #華文創作 #文學 #文學創作 #文字 #香港文學 #散文 #隨筆 #王菲 #fayewong #樂評 #寓言五部曲
有人勸我寫字 2 —— 王菲，關於你的歌（1/2） 曾聽過文學老師這樣子說明：「年輕的時候你可以找一位偶像深入研究，從他的作品、處世哲學，再延展開去，一定大有收穫。」一個人就是一套學問。他那套是李小龍，我的是王菲。熟悉我的友人也會知道，我喜歡王菲 —— 而且並非普通的鍾情，而是無限的狂癡熱戀。從王靖雯時期過渡到王菲；從傳統走至叛逆；從她獨有前瞻的時尚魅力；從她不愛應酬的個性；從倒背如流的專輯曲目；從KTV裏無限模仿她空靈、縈繞心喉的唱腔；從她以如此新鮮的歌喉傳遞的音樂語言。每次我點起王菲的歌，友人總愛說嘴：「又扮王菲啊。」直至不知不覺滲進自己後來的曲腔。甚至有幻想過公開談論王菲，探討「偶像文化與歌者之間的差異性」，而後者又如何因應市場需求而被塑造成前者。但固然的，我不是學者，僅祇一名熱切的聽眾。就自然沒有把概念拿出來說嘴。 那段愛上的淵源，該從高中說起。受電影薰陶的緣故，某天放學，我走到學校附近的影音店裏搜刮王菲專輯。記得為數不多，抽起的是王菲2000年的國語專輯《寓言》。 我拿到的版本，封面王菲置中站在一片嬰兒藍的底子，身穿當年火紅的Dior報紙印花連衣裙配漁網襪，一手托着大底片機，看似要替作為觀者的你拍攝一幅閃光照。眼上掛著是後來風靡一時的暈染妝，披一頭大捲髮。眼神銳利，滿身前衛。 更出彩的是歌單。回家後我立刻跑到哥哥的房間佔據電腦，盯着歌詞本逐首對照，如暗黑的舞台忽倏打開帷幕，寓言故事幕幕展開，發現，林夕對他何其偏愛，近乎把最好的詞統統掏出給她。而我，又因這些掏金者在前，不必花費力氣便可掇拾這些星光點點。 寒武紀、新房客、香奈兒、阿修羅、彼岸花合成「寓言五部曲」，由王菲作曲，著名編作人張亞東編曲。歌曲陣容華麗如史詩，先是由《寒》的弦樂與冷調電子開首，配以王菲歌劇式的顫音，電影感如花瞬間開到荼靡；當《阿》的鐘鳴響起，強勢的迷幻電音、弦樂、硬核搖滾（Drum N Bass）伴奏旋即展開，王菲反覆低沉吟頌如宗教呢喃，魔幻、懸疑，彷彿不置於人間，下一秒便墜跌不可直視的深淵「不願立地成佛，寧願走火入魔」；結尾被淒美豎琴貫穿，超塵出世。花即萎靡。 「寓言五部曲」以佛學、神話、文學、電影等元素串連成龐大莊嚴、深刻的敍事結構，編曲以弦樂及迷幻電子作貫穿，談論人於情愛之中的好執與痴迷，由於概念圓融，風格前衛，當年獲獎無數，被樂評者與歌迷封為「神專」；卻有人形容「五部曲」如「流行音樂界的《紅樓夢》前八十回」。眾所周知，《紅》的後四十回並非原著曹雪芹所著，而是由高鶚續作，由於內容難以與前部份連結，中心思想的轉變，被後人所垢病，這種質疑「割裂」的比喻亦被套以《寓言》當中。《寓言》後五首的曲風及概念與前五首迴異，甚至亦非王菲作曲，有人指出原因為了讓專輯貼向商業化、照顧市場。 我雖有替《寓言》小感不值，也沒有太大反應。寓言故事起合於五首，製作者沒有為湊數而「續命」，個人覺得是恰當。前五部曲以精妙結構來描繪情愛執迷，後五部曲則貼地日常的描繪感情煩惱、少女情愫，尾聲以《給自己的情書》作結，由愛情歸向自愛，完美收場。文化產業確實需要與受眾、市場一起並看，當中，傳播度高的未必庸俗，傳播度低的未必清高。高低手不必這樣分野。 因為《寓言》的震撼，我陸續又搜挖了《王菲》（2001同名國語大碟）《將愛》（2003國語大碟），像沿着珍珠項鏈的第一顆，接連發現第二顆、第三顆⋯。後來每年也會收藏其餘珍珠，以填補儀式感，每顆紀念某一段時期，儘管不如最初震動。（故保留驚喜感，不敢把全部歌一次過搜挖。） 14.04.23 ☁️ #詩 #新詩 #現代詩 #現代文學 #華文創作 #文學 #文學創作 #文字 #香港文學 #散文 #隨筆 #王菲 #fayewong #樂評 #寓言五部曲
