Lil bits of January - a balance of work + self-care ✨ Did anyone else try to conquer the whole year in one month? 😂 I definitely started the year slow & with ease but as the 3rd week of the month approached, something shifted & I was not getting enough rest! My body quickly began to talk to me... I was forced to slow down, listen, & prioritize rest. Rest is so essential & is just as important as any goal or intention you may have set out to accomplish this year. I can immediately feel the difference when I'm not taking time for my own self-care - getting enough sleep, eating balanced meals, taking breaks of rest + for my self-practices... The rest of January became a month of resetting, remembering to pour into myself so I can overflow into others, & having patience with this life I'm creating 💕 Forever grateful for this journey & the endless moments for learning & growth. I become love itself. 💕 Our first Heart Chakra Cacao Circle of the year is tomorrow, Thursday, January 18 at 7:30pm & I couldn't be more excited to sit in community with you all. I'm trying to get better at sharing dates in advance so registration is open for February & March as well. So much of my personal healing journey has been centered around my heart & it is an honor to hold space for you all in this capacity. Each Circle is different as far as the practices we explore & the energy we cultivate but, one thing remains the same - it is all about connecting deeply into our hearts - pausing to show reverence & deep love for ourselves. Together we will move through an intentional flow focused on releasing & unblocking our heart chakra through meditation, breathwork, intuitive movement, a releasing ritual, journaling, & a sharing circle - all with the love & support of cacao. Through my journey of building @igniteyourflow, I've had the honor of working with and holding space for some amazing souls. Today's client spotlight is Grantmakers for Southern Progress (G4SP) @southerngrants I had the opportunity of leading a few different sessions during their 2023 Biennial Convening. Our sessions were scheduled to be in person but, due to Hurricane Idalia, they had to make a quick pivot to a Virtual Convening which I was more than happy to accommodate! G4SP is a non-profit organization dedicated to leveraging resources for structural change in the South.
