El tema de la última entrega se titula "Love ethic" (Ética del amor) y la directora nos invita en su carta editorial a descubrir algunas dimensiones del amor como el cuidado, el compromiso, la confianza, responsabilidad, respeto, conocimiento... y abrazarlo en nuestra vida cotidiana con nosotros mismos, los demás y lo que nos rodea y en el caso de esta revista, en relación con la moda. A propósito de todo esto y más concretamente hablando sobre la estrecha relación entre moda y naturaleza, la doctora Mila Burcikova @milaburcikova es entrevistada por Dörte de Jesus @dortedejesus en el artículo titulado "Life in clothes almanac, the seasons of garden and fashion making" donde examinan las interconexiones y paralelismos entre la creación de prendas y los ciclos estacionales de la naturaleza en una granja. Acompañando esta conversación hay unas fotos en las que salen nuestros sombreros de copa o chimeneas de cáñamo como nosotros les llamamos. En las fotos podéis ver una chimenea de cuerda de cáñamo trenzada, teñida con una mezcla de taninos naturales y llevada al gris mágicamente por un posterior baño en hierro. Como en muchas de nuestras nuevas chimeneas, la parte superior de la copa ha sufrido un abollón lateral que lo asimetriza (creo que me acabo de inventar esta palabra) y genera nuevas tensiones. “We know tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. Yet we hear time and again - especially from trail enthusiasts and “run-fluencers” - how running added years to their lives. And the naysayers who are so concerned about our knees or that we suffer an incurable running addiction? We assume we’ll have the last laugh when we outlive them by ten, twenty, or more years. I too, shared this sentiment. Trail running came to me at a time when I desperately needed something to latch onto to form an identity outside of marriage and parenthood. I wanted ambitious goals and to push my body to make up for the overwhelming feeling of stagnation in my life. While navigating this identity crisis, running gave me an outlet that kept me from partying too hard in the hours after waiting tables, something I did to help pay the bills while stalled out in my career path. During that time, I leaned a bit too hard into the post-work party scene, where it was accepted, and expected, to blow off steam however one may please. Having training runs and races on my calendar at least kept me from becoming a full-blown train wreck. So to that end, yes, I can say running has prolonged my life beyond what might have been.
