So many times I've crumbled my life and started over. Like, nah, not doing it. Then one day I turned my PAIN into POWER. The passion I have inside of me came out for my children. I decided one day to stop running and face it all! A lot of people, even the ones who thought they knew me were shocked. I had already started my health and self love journey and this time it was facing ALL my childhood trauma. Not just talking about it but working through it. Finding my triggers and understanding them. I know what makes me happy now probably won't make me happy later, and vise versa. Turning off other people's energy and really focusing on me and what makes me happy is what I did and am doing. Does it go at my pace? Hell to the NO! People who know know my family is everything. EVERYTHING! I suffered from PTSD and nobody ever understood. Then I lost my nephew. And because of that I really don't tolerate what I used to. I don't have time for people or situations that don't align with what I want to leave behind. I'm thankful for all the people God has put in front of me. If I think about it I've lived out all my dreams, and wonders and still have a ways to go. I'm nervous and excited at the same time of what is to come. All I know is don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small. Only if I had adhered to that early on. I use to think I can change the world. When I was younger, I loved makeup. It's so funny because I was always told by people I shouldn't apply so much mascara, and I should underline my lips to make them thin. Isn't that funny? Bit of a rough night last night as Little Miss refused to settle till after 2am and cluster fed from 5pm. 🙃 She gets one bottle a night of formula just to tide her over to sleep through past over midnight. Since having her, my skin has cleared up and I'm back to fitting in my skincare routine into different pockets of time that vary day to day. So I'm on my 2nd tub of R&F Active Hydration Body Replenish Moisturiser. I admit when I feel the skin stretching it does get quite ichy so I apply our Step 2 Sensitive Skin Treatment from the Soothe Regimen which helps. The other one I use occasionally is Bio-Oil which is supposed to help with stretch marks too. It's been an eventful day! Dave and I went to Orange for a few things.. mostly tools.. 🛠 But I also had a voucher from R&F to use at Orange Baby Kingdom. I'd qualified for a team High Tea last month, but sadly I couldn't attend due to covid and WA boarder closures, so I was given a voucher to the value of the High Tea to use wherever I wanted. Today we went in town to explore the updated Houston Farmers Market. We hadn't been since before the beautiful new sign jas been placed. Heck, I was still calling it Canino's!! Met up with a friend of mine visiting town on Sunday that used to work with. Was sooo nice to catchup! Well overdue! There are people that will try to bring you down, hate you, not understand, and really don't care, and my dear folks that is quite alright. Christmas as a child left a horrible taste in mouth. Every Christmas my heart feels a little sad. The feeling of watching everyone open gifts as my older sister and I just watched is undescribable. I remember when she, my older sister, acknowledged that feeling with me in our early years. I didn't feel so alone then. I sit back and wonder if anyone else noticed that we'd just sit there and watch all the joyous moments of Christmas magic without anything to hold. Giving back hits closer to home for me than most. When I say, “Skincare with purpose” here is one example…. Never would I ever walk in public showing my sports bra. I have always admired those who do and today I became one of them. 👏🏻 Let me give you a little history… There was a picture taken of me last weekend that when I looked at myself my heart sank 😞. (Picture posted in comments). Is this what I look like? Surly not, I work so hard. I’ll choose a salad before I allow myself to indulge. Does any of this sound familiar?? 🤔 I won’t get into my self image issues, (yes people I have them), but what I will say is this, “Pictures can be deceiving if you allow them”. I never had the confidence that I have now, and it’s all because I take care of my skin and have a business that keeps me centered. 💪🏻 I’m sharing this vulnerable moment because it’s not just skincare that I sell, share and am passionate about, it’s everything that comes along with it. 💙 As women, no matter what age or stage in life we are in, we need one another.
