I'm deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Barbara Rush. I did a q&a with her at a screening of George Pal's When Worlds Collide several years ago and she was a complete pleasure to talk with. We hung out in the green room before the show and I showed her the Crestwood House It Came from Outer Space book-- one of the first books I ever owned as a little kid. She couldn't believe how young I was when I first had it. I told her what a huge impact It Came from Outer Space had on Steven Spielberg and John Carpenter and she seemed genuinely delighted. What was most flattering was that she-- who had played James Mason's wife in Bigger Than Life-- was so impressed by my Mason impersonation, when I asked her about him during the q&a, she said, "You do a REALLY good James Mason impersonation-- do your impersonation!"
